Good evening, everyone!
So, the feeds have been up for about 22 hours now as I type this, so I figured I would take some time to do what I do best – ramble.
It’s been a pretty interesting start to the season. Clearly more of a ‘Traitors’ vibe this season, and that’s cool. It’s also nice that Julie isn’t acting over the top ridiculous like Alan Cumming so I’m cool with that. Hopefully they keep dropping more mystery in this season and it wasn’t just a week one fun gag. I like the idea of keeping fans entertained by having us guess the houseguest and then guess the accomplice. It’s fun.
And I also didn’t think it would happen, but we’re actually doing this season with 17 which I’m sure will cause issues on this site as I’ve generally built it around 16 but I guess we’ll see how it works out. So far, so good.
Alright, let’s get to some thoughts…
- Rachel is back, and it’s clear that she should be around for a bit. While I am not sure that she is going to dominate the season, she’s done a great job at deflecting a lot of the early attention and doesn’t sound like she’s in any immediate danger.
- These guys are playing very hard and very fast. I love that, but it’s hard to keep track of. I mean Keanu and Jimmy have been in 6th gear since night one and even had a little blowup during the veto ceremony tonight.
- There is a lot of flirting going on, but I don’t have quite a good vibe yet. I am feeling a Rylie and Lauren thing happening as well as Kelley and Adrian so long as she survives this week.
- I’m still lowkey super impressed Lauren put together that the accomplice was a girl because Rachel is in the house. That makes so much sense that nobody even really thought of that (other than Lauren). There was no way they were going to risk a 9-7 female advantage.
- There are so many people working together and being on ‘sides’ but there are a few valid alliances forming. Let’s go over them…
Alliances…
- Mom Squad = Rachel and Amy with Ashley forming a bit of a trio
- Heavy Hitters = Rachel, Jimmy, Vince, Morgan, Zach, and Rylie. I don’t see this lasting long
- Triple Threat = Jimmy, Morgan, and Mickey. This alliance should be together for a bit
- Duo = Lauren and Katherine. This one has staying power like Leah and MJ
- Bros = Zae, Keanu, and Zach with Rylie seeming to be on the egde of that
- Duo = Jimmy and Vince. Meh, Jimmy is a wildcard so I’m not sure Vince will want to stay with that
There are a few smaller and larger ones. I know someone was talking about 10 people, but that’s ridiculous and won’t last. The smaller ones are currently very weak so we will have to see what really forms over the next few days. Again, we’re less than 24h of feeds so still learning.
Regarding who is in danger – This is a hard one. I feel Amy is probably going to be the first out but Rachel on her side is the only saving grace. Kelley’s game is pretty bad, and the girls don’t really like her, so I can easily see Rachel flipping it to keep Amy. Many of the people are eating out of her hands and she’s not going to let Amy just walk.
So, normal season, Amy walks. This season, Kelley could walk. However, if Zae is up there, there absolutely is a chance for them to take a big guy out asap. Once again, this three person nom thing could prevent a boring season of unanimous weeks.
