The weekend gaming has been ALOT so I didn’t want to save it all for Monday. Here’s a recap of Friday and I’ll try to post one for Saturday later today. If not, I’ll combine Saturday and Sunday’s recap tomorrow morning. For a super quick review, Ava is the hoh and had planned to nominate Keanu, Vince and Zach. She didn’t want to have one on ones and only discussed her noms with Rachel, Mickey and Will.

I think I said in the last recap how I thought the lack of one on ones was a mistake. She gave up the opportunity for everyone to spill game info to her, either intentionally or on accident. She’s also pissed off some of them by not wanting to have them. (Boy, this cast can’t handle, ‘it’s my room this week’) There’s been a lot of “that’s not how you’re supposed to play the game” but its mostly from the people who were nominated plus Morgan and Rylie. They were going to be mad at her anyway.

Something else her lack of one on ones has caused is she’s made it clear who she’s working with in the game. When you only meet with a few people after you become the hoh, it becomes pretty obvious. (It’s the same reason everyone thinks Vinny controlled Laurens hoh. He practically lived in the hoh room that week)

Before the nom ceremony, Ava practiced her speech and ran it past Rachel, Will and Mickey. She was planning something that would make her point but also try to make it funny. (Don’t they all?) Ava said it doesn’t matter what she says because they’re gonna be mad at her anyway. (She’s not wrong but she didn’t know Zach and Vince would hang onto her every word)

Katherine escaped Rylie for a few minutes and helped Ava get ready. She told Ava her outfit reminded her of Austin Powers. (Yep, kinda did) Ava said “when else am I going to be able to wear velvet in the summer?” (My question would be why would anyone PACK velvet for the summer, but you do you Ava!)

Rachel told Ashley she knew Ashley was the other vote for Jimmy to stay. She promised the secret was safe and said they should continue to blame Vinny.

Vinny thought he may be going otb and was a wreck all Thursday night and into Friday. Zach was the opposite and felt confident he wouldn’t be touching the block. He’s repeated many times that he “has Ava.”

After the nomination ceremony, the spiraling really began. Ava nominated Keanu, Vinny and Zach. There were tears, confusion and the usual “why me” from Vinny and Zach. (Keanu didn’t seem too bothered and just planned to win the veto)

Herea the thing, you can’t have it both ways. One minute, (according to Zach, Vinny, Morgan and a little bit Lauren) they’re the only ones playing the game, and everyone else is a bunch of floaters. Simultaneously, why would anyone put them on the block because they haven’t done anything to go on the block? (If you’re such a great gamer, that’s your reason for going up. It’s really not that complicated)

Ava spoke with each of them separately. With Keanu, she told him he wasn’t her target and hoped he won the veto. She told Zach they didn’t talk game and got the feeling he didnt trust her. The Bond alliance was brought up and Ava said that was dead after Lauren put both Will and Adrian on the block. She basically told him he was a big boy and she had confidence he could win the veto.
This is two men contempting what happened?

After giving Zach multiple reasons for why she put him up, he would spend the rest of the day irritated and saying she never told him why. (We got to see a different side of Zach on Friday)

Ava didn’t have to do much work when she spoke to Vinny because he did most of the talking. He talked about being an introvert and said he didn’t have his hands in everything, like she claimed in her speech. He said it wasn’t his fault that other people called him into rooms to have one on ones to talk. (It’s his fault if he stays for 2 hours talking though)

I don’t remember what Ava planned to say about Keanu but her speech involved something about Vinny having his hands in too many pots and Zach not trusting her. We know these speeches are always dumb but it’s important because both Vinny and Zach couldn’t let go of it. They both spent the rest of the day doing a lot of ‘why did she say that’ and ‘what did she mean by this?’ (It’s ridiculous because what she meant was, you’re going on the block!)

Zach and Vinny also both started blaming Rachel for the noms. The perception from both of them is that Ava couldn’t have come up with this on her own. They can’t believe someone who “sleeps all day…doesn’t play the game and is a big floater” could possibly make a game move. It HAS to be someone else’s move in their minds.

Vinny is convinced Rachel is behind it and won’t be told otherwise. Lauren agreed with him and they tried to figure out why Rachel was targeting him. He said he’s never done anything to Rachel and he doesn’t understand it. (I think he’s forgotten the entire first week in the house when he was the hoh)

Both Morgan and Mickey told Zach they didn’t think Rachel was behind it. They mentioned Rachel didn’t even speak to Ava much prior to her nominations. Not that anyone listens to Keanu but he also chimed in on this and blamed Mickey. Even Morgan agreed that Mickey was the only person who spent hours up in the hoh room with Ava before the noms.

I think Keanu is just so excited he isn’t the target, he almost feels invincible. He spent most of the day trying to make the target on Mickey bigger. (Keanu is one of the people Mickey decided she should work with and could trust instead of Jimmy)

I also think I mentioned in the last recap that Ava doesn’t trust Ashley. She told Mickey and Will she’s willing to work with Ashley because of them, but would like to limit what they tell her. Ava also told Mickey about the Bond alliance. (I don’t know if this will hurt Will later because he didn’t tell Mickey about it)

This is relevant because Mickey had been kind of pushing Morgan to be a replacement nom to Ava, if needed. Honestly, she goes back and forth between Morgan and Ashley. (Does Mickey think you have to only nominate people you’re working with?)

I don’t know if this is what caused the switch up or not but after Mickey found out about this alliance, she sort of backed off the Morgan thing and started pushing for Lauren to be the renom.
Here’s Kelley living her best BB life because finally, she’s not on the block!

Maybe because Morgan wasn’t included in the Bond alliance, she feels like she can still trust Morgan. It’s also possible Mickey isn’t that strategic because she wants to target whoever she’s pissed off at in her alliance on any given day. (It also seems to change multiple times per day)

Although Ava asked Mickey not to repeat that conversation to anyone, she’s already told Morgan about it and a couple of other people too. When Mickey told Morgan, Mickey said it made her not want to use a veto on either Vinny or Zach. (Mickey got rid of Jimmy for double dipping and shocker, the 2 guys she isn’t as close to as Jimmy are actually double dipping too!) Morgan had been chiming in with her about not being able to trust the guys until Mickey said they shouldn’t use a veto on them. Morgan started backtracking real fast.

Mickey doesn’t know Ava already promised Lauren she wouldn’t be a renom so she pushed for it again. Ava said it would be Morgan. Mickey tried doing her typical backtracking of the things she’d said about Morgan. It didn’t work on Ava and Ava just said “Mickey stop, it’s going to be Morgan, and that’s it.” She told Mickey, “I’ve already given you Ashley. The renom will be Morgan.” Haha

Ashley and Rachel talked about Mickey and have realized she’s not really with them. Rachel said “she only wants us in jury to vote for her.” Ashley told Rachel she’s been trying to tell her that for a while. They both said Mickey thinks she’s running the house. Ashley also said she’s figured out that Mickey spills game info when she’s pissed at you. She said Mickey needs to be right so Ashley intentionally argues with her and Mickey spills game info to prove she’s right. (Ashley’s right about this)
Suddenly, everyone wants to hang out with Will this week since he’s close to Ava:

Zach continued trying to figure out who was behind Ava’s noms but more importantly, find out if he’s the the target. (He’s really trying to figure out if he can save that 10k for himself)

Rylie ia mad at Ava for “not knowing how to play the game.” He’s mad over her lack of one on ones, announcing she was drinking her own wine, the use of the bathroom and so on. Isn’t Riley’s the guy who announced to everyone “I’m not playing the game, I don’t want to win anything and I don’t want to talk about the game.” (I checked my notes and yes, he’s the same guy)

Ava suggested to Rachel they add Rylie and Katherine to their group and make a new alliance. Rachel told her big alliances usually don’t work because people talk too much. She suggested they stick with their five. This is good advice for more than one reason. Ava isn’t putting any work in as the hoh to pull Rylie and Katherine into a group.

While she was all “I love Rylie,” he was in the backyard being all “I hate Ava!” Don’t get me wrong, Ava’s hoh is by far the best one this season, but the bar is in hell.

Vinny and Zach continued to become more and more upset. They’ve decided they’re in this position because Ava prevented them from keeping Adrian. I guess they’re not willing to admit Ava didn’t prevent them from shit. They could’ve easily kept Adrian if they’d chosen to do it. Lauren was their deciding vote, not Ava.

Mickey has already started the ‘maybe we should keep Vince and get rid of Zach’ campaign. This isn’t going over very well with Rachel and Ashley.

The only person more upset than Zach and Vinny over the noms is Morgan. She doesn’t know why it’s happening. “Why would anyone do this? Why is someone trying to take my friends away? Are they doing this just to back door me? I may have to say goodbye to one of my friends and its really hard guys” Blah, blah, blah. She said they’re the only ones who ask her about her life outside of game talk and ahe needs that in the house. (As much as she talks about herself, I don’t know what could be left to ask her)

She went to Mickey and said they may need to take out Rachel. She said Rachel is pissing her off and she doesn’t think she can hold back much longer. (Do it, do it! Rachel is so bad at fighting but I think she’d tear Morgan up)

Rylie told Katherine he doesn’t want to play in the veto. He said all three of the guys will expect him to use it on them. They also talked about not trusting Mickey. (Remember, he’s the other person Mickey got rid of Jimmy to work with)

Katherine tried to talk to Rylie about her position in the game. I’m not sure because he barely let her make a point but here’s what what I think she’s worried about. She’s feeling like she has no agency in the game and people only see her as an extension of Rylie’s game. He wasn’t having that conversation though. He assured her that her game is amazing because she has him on her side. He told her anyone should be f*cking lucky to have him protecting them. He was basically telling her she had made a good game move by choosing to be with him. Oh, he’s also said she should talk less to Lauren too…you know, about the only person Katherine speaks to besides Rylie.

Look, I try to relay the important points of the days conversations, but I’d have to get drunk to do much of Rylie’s conversations. (I don’t think I’d type very well drunk so I summarized)

Keanu started kicking around the idea of using the veto on Vinny if he won it. He said he’d still have the block buster to win and if he didn’t, he knows he has the votes to stay because he’s not the target. Sure Keanu, using the veto on the house target is a great way to have the votes to stay! (Haha) Not only is he not a target, he said he now has Rachel on his side. According to Keanu, he’s basically Rachel’s #1 now. Apparently, Keanu and Rachel are so close, he told Vinny he’s sure he can get Rachel to vote for Vinny to stay. (Hahaha, Keanu’s a mess!)

Will hid in the bathroom during Ava’s conversation with Zach.

Afterwards, Ava asked him if she handled it okay and he said yes.

I don’t have anything against Zach or Vince but I have to admit, I’ve enjoyed them going on the block. You know people have gotten way too comfortable in the game when they’re shocked and offended anyone had the nerve to put them up. Vince kept saying (in front of Will and Kelley by the way) he knew he’d go on the block at some point, but it just felt too soon. They’re looking for something to blame it on other than the obvious. They’d already decided Ava was useless and a ‘floater.’ It’s like they can’t wrap their brains around the idea that other people in the house are playing the game too. You know, if someone’s not playing the game for them, they’re not playing. If I don’t get Saturdays recap poated today, have a great rest od your Sunday.
