Big Brother 26-Mels Monday Recap 8/19/24

Good morning everyone, This weekend included a birthday, some jealously, a bit of delusion and one mad mama. There was also the return of the hide the veto comp, which I don’t think we’ve had since BB20. (not sure about that tho) I just know it’s been a while.

I’m gonna blow thru this weekend recap a bit faster than usual (hopefully) because I have to be at work earlier today than I’d planned. I’m filling in for someone who works for me because her husband cut off half of 3 of his fingers yesterday! He had surgery last night so I needed to reshuffle work for the week. (Unfortunately, I saw pics and it was bad!!) Recover soon Taylor.

Leah and even MJ decorated for Angela after she went to bed on Friday for her birthday. She woke up Saturday to her name spelled out in streamers in the upstairs lounge.

Chelsie ground some oats for the have nots and Tucker looked through some slop recipes to try to find something special to make for Angela. We didn’t get to see her reaction on feeds but i’m going to assume she loved it.

Leah spent alot of the weekend complaining about Cam ignoring her. Apparently, he didn’t hug her after the nom ceremony on Friday and she hasn’t let it go since. Don’t forget, she spent the past week going around telling everyone how creepy he is and how he was stalking her. She’s said the same things about Quinn.

First it was Cam, then Quinn, then Cedric said something about her and now…..she’s upset because someone in the house said she was dumb. She said its because she says “like” a lot. She spends all her time trying to solve the most recent injustice that’s been done to her.

MJ spent her weekend being ran up Tucker’s butt. She and her curly hair have been acting like she’s in a f2 with Tucker. I know this cast doesn’t have the sharpest gamers but MJ is on a level all her own.

Her reads on the house are always way off. She’s convinced herself Tucker wants to work with Brooklyn, Chelsie and herself. She even had a talk with Tucker this weekend about how he probably needed to get rid of Rubina. (Yep, that happened)

Tucker won the hide the veto comp. He was pissed off that all his clothes were trashed afterwards and blamed it on Quinn. There was some disagreement about it that we didn’t see on the feeds.

Most of the house thought it was Brooklyn but Angela told Tucker it was Cam. She told him in the Angela way. You know, the one where she’s absolutely positive about something she’s completely wrong about.

Joseph and others said it wasn’t Quinn. They said it was Brooklyn and told this to Tucker. Brooklyn admitted to Chelsie that she was the one who did it. Haha

Quinn had one job over the weekend, and that was to keep his mouth shut. Tucker was planning on using the veto on him if he didn’t tell people he was a pawn. Quinn told Joseph, Kimo, T’kor and Rubina. Granted, they already knew but Quinn didn’t know that. He eventually told Brooklyn too. He and Brooklyn also reaffirmed their final 2.

Later, Brooklyn told Tucker that Quinn said he was a pawn. Tucker lied out of it and said Quinn was his target. Joseph tried to do some damage control for Quinn about spilling because he’s the ringleader of wanting Brooklyn out.

Joseph and Tucker have a final 2 that wasn’t real but is becoming more real, at least to Joseph. (for now) Joseph camera talked about being the best player of the season, how he’s trying to play like Dan and about staying loyal to Tucker. He said Tucker was there for him when other people weren’t. Plus, he thinks he would have the votes to beat Tucker in a final 2. (Hahaha)

I am so enjoying all of Joseph delusions. Sometimes, he says things that I think he can’t possibly mean. Other times, I’m convinced he believes, he’s the shit! Now, he’s playing an okay game for sure, but Dan??? Hahaha

Joseph with some dance moves:

He’s got things to celebrate for the moment. Quinn put it on a lot of work the first couple of weeks. (Probably too much) Joseph’s put in just as much work the past couple of weeks to steal it all away from Quinn. He’s the one working with Tucker, closer to Timo, in the big alliance and has Leah working with him. He also has a crush on Leah now too! He’s basically taken the position Quinn had in the house from him.

Joseph admitted to the cameras that he has a crush on Leah. He told the cams it won’t affect his game tho. He took a bit of teasing for it from Timo and I think Rubina. (??)

Sorry, it was a long weekend. (I went to an 80’s themed b-day party Saturday and I may still be hungover) Most of the people there were around my daughter’s age or a bit older. (Mid 30’s) At one point, I told them they were all at a birthday party and I felt like I was at high school reunion. Anyway, sorry for veering off track.

Back to Joseph, He’s been in Tucker’s ear a lot. Joseph’s either the Tucker whisperer, or maybe Tucker already agrees with the things Joseph is saying. The blind side that happened last week was probably worse for Joseph than some of the others. (He knew it would be and it’s why he was reluctant to do it) He may have Chelsie and Brooklyn targeting him now but other than that, he’s positioned himself pretty well. Even that’s not too bad because Chelsie and Brooklyn have other targets too.

The backyard opened back up for them on Saturday night and Angela was thrilled. Shit said that’s what she wanted for her birthday. They all sang Happy Birthday to her, gave her hugs and made her feel included in things.

She enjoyed her day:

She did get a bit irritated when she realized the hg’s had used up her hoh food to make a charcuterie board. Keep in mind, this is the same food she’d given them the night before. She said she couldn’t have it since she was a have not and told them to enjoy it. (Hey, it’s Angela)

Timo made their way to hammock time to evaluate their new situation. It appears Timo doesn’t like their new alliance any better than the last one.

(Mostly T’kor) The fish tanks had a meeting to talk about a replacement nom. Tucker asked everyone’s input (like he was gonna care) and asked if anyone felt close to Chelsie. He was letting them know if he took Quinn off the block, his replacement would be her.

T’kor sat there and didn’t say much. Later, in the hammock, she told Kimo she didn’t like how things were going. She said she didn’t want to be in an alliance where she didn’t get to have any input. This continued throughout the weekend but I’m going to stop here because frankly, I’m sick of T”kor expecting people to read her damn mind.

I’ll just give an overview of what T’kor actually wants to have happen. Kimo sort of feels the same way. He wants to work with the same people T’kor does but he’s more comfortable working with Tucker for now than T’kor.

T’kor wants the 6th Avenue alliance. She just wants to kick Tucker and Angela out of it. She’d keep Joseph and Rubina and wants to add Chelsie. That’s her dream alliance and she’s constantly in a mood because it isn’t happening the way she wants.

T’kor after staying up all night making plans for things she’s never going to do:

You have two choices when you want the game to go your way. You either win the hoh and put up the people you’d like to put up or you manipulate the hoh to do what you want. It’s actually a very simple concept. The execution of it, especially the second one, takes some skill. She either doesn’t have the skill or she isn’t willing to put in the effort to see if she has it or not. Maybe she needs to crochet her own hoh key and see if that will work?

She’s also been upset because Brooklyn and Chelsie are acting like they don’t want to work with her as much anymore. (I mean, I don’t know why) All she did was lie to them, blindside them and bust up their alliance. What’s the problem?

T’kor had already spoken to Chelsie but this weekend, she apologized to Brooklyn too. (She’s handled this soooo wrong) Brooklyn had a bit of attitude during the conversation and you could feel the power shift. Even with T’kor in a good spot and Brooklyn on the block, it felt like Brooklyn had control. Brooklyn even told her she and Kimo were the real shomance this season. (True)

Maybe it’s just T’kor’s personality and maybe she can’t help it. Regardless, she threw away what was a power position. Brooklyn and Chelsie have controlled the game for a month, in spite of not being able to take out Tucker. Finally, T’kor was on the inside and Chelsie and Brooklyn needed her. The roles had flipped, but with that one apology, T’kor gave it all the way.

I know she needed to mend things in some way but that wasn’t it. I’d assumed she would’ve said she knew about the Pentagon and felt like she had to keep Rubina because of it.

This would’ve immediately put Brooklyn and Chelsie in a position where they needed to explain and apologize why T’kor wasn’t included in the pentagon. She couldn’t tell the truth and say she found out through Quinn because she’s still working with him. However, Cedric is gone so she could have said Cedric told her. For whatever reason, this didn’t happen.

Instead, T’kor is trying to force working with Chelsie while Chelsie wants her targeted fairly soon. ( The only people Chelsie wants out before T’kor are Leah and Angela, although that could change) T’kor didn’t account for how pissed Chelsie would be over being blindsided, I guess.

I still stand by my opinion that this was a good move for T’kor. She just went about it the wrong way. First, in those final moments before the vote, she should’ve told Chelsie what she was doing. Second, she should’ve put Chelsie in a position after Cedric left of being the one who needed to apologize.

T’kor with some dance moves. Tucker was doing it behind her:

Angela even getting in on the dancing:

T’kor didn’t need to come off sounding mad or anything about the pentagon. It just needed to be more like ‘Hey, Cedric ended up telling me about the pentagon, it made me paranoid that I wasn’t included, I felt I was being pushed to take out Rubina, not being included in the pentagon made me feel like I had no choice but to keep Rubina here, I’m still loyal to you.’ (Something like that)

Timo talked about pushing MJ to go up as the renom. They did their usual of lots of planning and very little talking to anyone else. Kimo did put in a little work with Tucker trying to make it happen. They’re also worried Tucker is getting in with MJ too much. (He isn’t) Tucker’s just seen how easy MJ is to manipulate, so he doesn’t see her as a threat right now.

MJ and Leah. My favorite frenemies:

Joseph talked with Timo and pretended like he would work on Tucker too. (He isn’t) He’s still pushing for Brooklyn and trying to make Quinn look like less of a problem for them. (He wants both Quinn and Tucker in there going after each other)

Chelsie still seems unbother by all of it. She’s still pissed at Timo but if faking it better than Brooklyn. She was wrong about who Tucker was going to nom but thinks Quinn is still the target. I honestly don’t think she has a clue she could be a replacement nom today. She spent most of the weekend shit talking MJ and Leah to Brooklyn. She spent the rest of the time showing us Cams dirty underwear. (She needs some new material. All the “Cam is nasty” talk is stupid)

Angela got paranoid…..again. She broke down a little to Tucker and said she didn’t feel included. She said she could tell Timo ignored her when she tried to talk to them and could tell they didn’t like her.

Tucker assured her they would be loyal to her (they won’t) and everything was fine. (it isn’t) Look, I know Angela’s nuts but she’s not wrong. Timo doesn’t like her and they ARE wanting to kick her out of the alliance.

Tucker came up with a plan where he wanted to wake Chelsie up last night and question her to see if she would tell the truth. (about the pentagon, I think?) I don’t know if he did it or not. He told Kimo he was still planning on putting, Chelsie on the block and using his veto on Quinn. He asked him not to tell the others yet, not even T’kor.

Tucker talked to Quinn and said Brooklyn told him he’d outed that he was only a pawn. (She did) Tucker also told him Brooklyn outed their final 2. (I think that was Joseph) Quinn had to be feeling like absolutely nothing could go right for him in the game! Quinn seemed to take it well, at least on the surface. Tucker told Quinn, at least he told him the truth where the others didn’t. (I think Tucker’s just looking for a loophole because Quinn didn’t keep his end of the bargain but Tucker still wants the veto used)

Later, Tucker met with the alliance and told them all anyway that Chelsie was going up. T’kor had told Kimo privately she wasn’t voting out Chelsie no matter what happened.

I actually think putting Chelsie on the block would be a mistake for Tucker if not for the AI Arena. If she’s not his target, why bother? Sure, she’s gonna want to take him out, but for now, why not pretend he’s good with her? It would also keep T’kor happy but I don’t blame Tucker for not knowing this since she hasn’t told him.

Because of the extra comp, Brooklyn could save herself. If she takes herself off the block, he needs Chelsea there as a backup target. His main goal this week is to break up Brooklyn and Chelsie.

This is where T’kor had a bit of tunnel vision. Sure, she doesn’t want Chelsie on the block, I get it. Setting that aside, it’s good for T’kor if Brooklyn leaves. I guarantee you, Chelsie will forgive T’kor faster if she has less options in the house. With Brooklyn gone, Chelsie will need T’kor.

Tucker winning the wall:

Even if you don’t like Tucker or Angela, you have to admit their hoh’s are better. They’re the only 2 people so far. Who haven’t ran all over the house begging for pawns. They picked three people to put up and they just put them up.

MJ and Leah arn’t happy about the shomance:

Tucker’s HOH has shown me he has a better read on the game than I originally thought he did. He’s still a bad player. He’s just a bit better than I thought. He’s trying to win so I’ll credit him for that. He also wants to put an on a show even if it’s bad for his game. It’s his game though and not mine so I don’t care. I hope Chelsie does go on the block today. It’s not because I want her out. It’s just because I think it would be more fun.

MJ thinking she’s the co-hoh:

I know I left out alot of stuff I probably wanted to mention today. Along with heading to work early, I’ve had about 10 calls since I started writing this. I keep losing track of where I’m at and what I’ve written. This is as good as it gets today folks and I promise to do better Wednesday. It’s just turing out to be one of those days.

Here’s a few random things before I go:

Angela told Kimo she was weirded out by Joseph talking game with her. She was suspicious of it. Kimo told her Joseph was trying to just make sure she felt included.

She also got freaked out when she poked her head in the room and saw Brooklyn and Chelsie talking with Tucker:

It looks like the Bob is back:

I haven’t sing Cam talking game to one person since he went on the block.

I’ll save the rest of the random stuff for Wednesday because I’m running out of time. They’ll have the veto ceremony today and there may be some fireworks! Have a great Monday.
