Welcome to September everyone and I hope you enjoy your Laobor Day. That was my plan but I woke up with one of my eyes swollen almost shut and I have no idea why! (Typos could be an issue today with my one eyed typing but here goes) I’m also sorry it’s sooooo late today!
Luckily for me, there isn’t as much to recap from the weekend. (It’s still probably gonna be a long one, though, so you’ve been warned. I had more than the normal amount of random tidbits I wanted to include) The main things to take away from the weekend are Quinn’s crush on Leah, Joseph making himself a target, T’kor’s anger and alot of shit talking about Tucker.

In Fridays recap, Quinn had just won the hoh and planned to nominate Kimo, Angela and Rubina with Rubina as his target. (He told Timo and Rubina, Angela was the target) After another day to think on it, Quinn decided Angela was a better target for him.

Angela suggested he put up people who hadn’t been on the block yet. It’s not the worst pitch but T’kor, Leah and Joseph are the only ones who haven’t been otb. Quinn still wants to work with T’kor, has a crush on Leah and is also working with Joseph. (Sorry Ang)

Quinn let all 3 know they’d be going up in advance. Angela spoke with Quinn after noms because she thought his speech was mean. (We saw a bit of it on last night’s episode) Quinn apologized if he’d made Angela feel bad but said he thought it was obvious he was joking around. (It was) He told her he was only trying to make light of the conflict they’d had with each other.

Rubina was disappointed, but sounded almost as if she expected it. Quinn’s nominated her before and she felt he might go after her again because of her connection with Tucker. On paper, Quinn’s a better player than that and it isn’t why he put Rubina on the block. Quinn feels sure she won’t work with him since he’s already put her up and he thinks he’s the reason Tucker was evicted.

I’m glad the edits on the episodes this season have been mostly accurate. They bombed on the first few in how they portrayed Angela and Matt but otherwise, they’ve done a good job with them. (Yes, I know Angela was a tornado but they twisted the first week a bit. They edited Matt to look like a saint, in order to make Angela look even worse) Anyway, I’m just glad production gave Chelsie the credit for spearheading the Tucker take down.

He took credit for the flip during his camera talks but so did some other people. For the record, Quinn was perfectly content to vote Angela out last week. He never even suggested they try to rally the votes to take out Tucker until Chelsie came to him and asked if he would do it. In his mind, he probably really believes he made it happen because he benefited from it the most. He’d wanted Tucker out for weeks so when it finally happened, it’s easy to see where he thinks he’s the one that did it.

MJ got in on it and bragged a bit too. She said she was the reason Tucker left because she won the AI arena comp to take him out. She thinks Tucker is on HER resume and she’s not entirely wrong. She did have to win that comp in order for Chelsie’s plan to happen.

Angela also had moment where she mentioned trying to rally the votes against him (and getting busted for it) earlier in the week. She talked like that’s what got the ball rolling and who knows, maybe it did.
Cam got compliments on the wings he grilled. Chelsie said she was craving them, so he made them for her:

Chelsie, being a much better player than the ones I’ve mentioned so far, was happy to let others take the credit. Unlike Joseph, Chelsie understands she’d want to take credit for it at the END of the season, if she’s sitting in one of those F2 chairs but not before. Chelsie spent the weekend channeling her victory in a different way. She is the queen of shit talking people and boy, Tucker was the target this weekend!

It was like Chelsie’s camera talks about Cam’s dirty clothes except in public and about Tucker. She wasn’t the only one and several others joined in. (They just seemed to get it out of their system much faster than she did) My guess is they were letting go of a lot of thoughts they’d had for several weeks. They just held them in because they were afraid to voice them and become one of Tucker’s targets. With Tucker gone, they went thru a list of everything Tucker did to piss them off. (Haha)

MJ and Leah, on their own, are prone to trash talking the other hg’s but when around Chelsie, they get much worse. Chelsie really seems to bring it out more with everyone. There’s been a lot of discussion in the house about everyone’s love language. I’m convinced Chelsie’s love language is shit talking. If she really meant all the negative things she said about Tucker this weekend, she did an amazing job hiding it while he was there.

Getting back to Quinn camera talking, we also learned he actually did believe T’kor a little bit about Leah. Along with saying he realized Angela needed to be his target over Rubina, he said he realized he couldn’t trust Leah.

He said he knew she’d been throwing his name out and felt she’d probably backstab him at some point. He followed that up by saying “I’m weak” as to why he wouldn’t target her. There was also some talk about how Kimo needed to pay for choosing Tucker over him. (It’s why he’s otb)

Quinn still wants to work with T’kor and talked alot about the new alliance he wants to form. (or several of them) It’s obvious he’s learned nothing from the mistakes he made early in the game. He still wants a big alliance and a smaller one within it. He’s still running his mouth before anythings been finalized too. He’s talked to Chelsie, Joseph and Leah about it and they all asked the same question. They asked if T’kor would tell Kimo about and alliance he wasn’t in. (Quinn doesn’t think so)

Before finalizing anything with the others, Quinn’s already spoken to T’kor about it. (She’s also already told Kimo and Rubina about it)

Basically, this alliance has been outed before it’s even fully formed. Not only that, T’kor is furious with Quinn and he has no idea. She’d told Kimo and Rubina if Quinn put both of them on the block, he was her next target.
Quinn about to win hoh:

The hoh comp was so appropriate for this particular week. The question of what came first, “the chicken or the egg” could be a metaphor for Quinn and Timo. First, let me clear up the reason T’kor’s angry. She’s not upset with Quinn or anyone for voting Tucker out. (I said during her HOH week, this is what she secretly hoped would happen and she kind of confirmed it) She’s angry that she chose Quinn over Tucker and now, Quinn’s turned on them.

Quinn doesn’t see it that way because what he saw was them working with Tucker. (T’kor was always more loyal to Quinn but Quinn can’t read her mind) T’kor also felt she respected Quinn by not putting Leah on the block over Angela when alot of people were pushing for her to go up. (True but she didn’t just do it for Quinn. She likes Leah and she doesn’t like Angela) I do see her point though because the very next week, Quinn puts up people she didn’t want on the block.

T’kor also doesn’t see the vote flip this week as the same as when she and Kimo flipped and kept Rubina over Cedric. (She’s wrong but does have a point at least) Quinn felt left out when Timo took out Cedric because they didn’t tell him first. We’ll, they kind of did.

Timo went to Quinn and said they wanted to keep Rubina. Quinn kept shutting it down and then moved on to hanging out with other people for the rest of the week. On eviction night, Timo flipped the vote and kept Rubina. I think T’kor feels like, because they’d had that conversation with Quinn, he WAS in the loop. With the Tucker vote flip, Quinn didn’t tell her they were going to do it or even wanted to do it. Quinn also lied to them and pretended he wanted to patch things up and work with Tucker. (They shouldnt have believed it tho)

Timo knew Tucker was still after Quinn and had to know Quinn would want him gone. Even on eviction day, Tucker was trying to stick it to Quinn again. (In Tucker’s defense, he thought he’d just found out about an alliance Quinn lied about but it wasnt true) Tucker’s plan, (after he won the AI comp) was for them to vote out MJ but tell Quinn they were voting out Angela. He wanted Quinn to be on the wrong side of the vote. (T’kor told Quinn about it) Tucker also got pissed because Quinn wanted to wear Rubina’s skort for the live show and they had words over it. Anyone with 2 good eyes (leaves me out) could see Quinn and Tucker weren’t going to work together.

I also think Timo have dismissed how bad they screwed up Quinn’s game the week Cedric left. Angela’s been taking the blame but it was mostly Timo. When they took out Cedric, it outed the fact the Quinn told them about the pentagon alliance. Let’s also not forget, Kimo confirmed to Tucker that Quinn had the power up. Sure, Angela told Tucker but he didn’t believe her until Kimo confirmed it. Quinn felt like he’d shared all this info to show them he was only loyal to Timo. What he got in return was having his entire game blown up.

Now, on the flip side, what would you think? You’ve got Quinn making a F3 with you, while coming to you and telling you about all the F2’s he’s making with other people. On top of that, he wasn’t really spending time with him after making the F3. I’m surprised they still trusted him as much as they did at that point.

The way Quinn was moving in the house, why would they believe theirs was the real alliance with him? (He did way too much those first few weeks) He also had no business telling them about the pentagon unless he wanted them to blow it up. Why would Timo be content with knowing they were at the bottom of an 8 personal alliance? (Quinn didn’t need to say anything but he has a big mouth and he did) Sorry, this is was a lot of paragraphs to get to my point. My point is, both Timo and Quinn did things to cause the problem. Where did it really begin? All three of them are justified, to an extent, over how they feel.

The funny thing is, I think it all could’ve all been avoided if Quinn had just spent more time with them the first couple of weeks. Quinn keeps making alliances but doesn’t do any of the follow up work to make it solid. (What he’s doing with MJ this week is an example) By doing that, he makes every alliance think they’re not the real one. Simply hanging out can make people feel better about you.

Anyway, Quinn’s still putting his perfect alliance together but I’ve lost track. He wanted the one that was everyone in the house except the 3 noms. (This was dumb because If the veto was used, Quinn would have to put up one of his new alliance members) He’s also got a F3 with Leah & Joseph, a F2 with Joseph, F2 with Leah and F3 with Chelsie and Cam. On top of that, he’s putting together another one with Leah, Cam, Chelsie and T’kor. Oh, and there’s this same alliance that doesn’t include Leah. (Honestly, I’ve lost track) The simplest way to explain it, in my opinion, is Quinn is trying to form the best alliance to help Chelsie get to the F2.

The veto comp on Saturday was the one they do in the dark and…..Leah won it. I’ll be honest, her excitement was kind of contagious. It’s gotten back to her that people (Chelsie) have said she’s dumb and not playing the game.

I think she felt like she had something to prove. This win gave her a little agency and she was proud of it. She danced with it and wore it to bed under her pajamas. (Shockingly, Angela didn’t smother her with questions about using it…yet)

The rest of Saturday was a fairly chill day, except for Joseph, which I’ll get to later. They got a grill for the backyard and laid around trash talking Tucker, which I’ve already mentioned. T’kor plotted her revenge, Kimo’s miserable on the block again while being a have not (for the 2rd time) and Rubina talked about missing Tucker.

MJ talked more about being a comp beast while also wondering why people see her as a comp beast. (Make it make sense!) She’s been clueless as to whats been happening in the game. Regardless, her back to back AI Arena wins make her feel like she’s playing and succeeding in it. She and Leah are just now finding out about alliances and what’s been going on in the house. Now that they have more of the information the others have had, they might actually be able to maneuver better in the house.

Even if they don’t, this is a good week for both of them. Quinn told MJ he wanted to work with her and she was safe this week. Quinn found out that earlier in the season, MJ was planning on targeting Quinn. She was nervous because of it when he won hoh. She had to feel great learning, not only was she not a target, he wants to have an alliance with her.

Quinn being Quinn, hasn’t done much else with MJ since he said he wanted to work with her. Chelsie, on the other hand, has learned from her earlier mistake. (She dropped the ball before with MJ) She’s been making MJ her new BFF so who do you think MJ will be loyal to between Quinn and Chelsie? MJ’s even suggested a F3 to Chelsie with herself and Cam and a F2 with Chelsie.

Side note: MJ’s not my cup of tea so I probably haven’t given her enough props for winning the AI comp two weeks in a row. Both weeks she felt certain she’d go home if she didn’t win. She not only had that pressure, these comps are played on the live episode and that has to add to it. She did an amazing job under that kind of pressure!

As I said, both MJ and Leah are benefiting this week. Leah is the biggest reason Quinn hasn’t followed up with MJ. It’s not Leah’s fault that Quinn wants to spend all his time with her. Last week, Leah shit talked Quinn to Joseph alot. They talked about the annoying things Quinn does that also annoys alot of us. This week, things have reversed and Joseph is the target. Quinn and Leah are talking about how bad Joseph’s playing the game.

The thing that’s different about this situation is that it’s not only Quinn and Leah. Most of the hg’s have been talking about Joseph. I can’t tell if what he’s doing comes from boredom, the need to brag or if it’s strategy. One of the things he’s doing IS strategic because it’s what he told Quinn. He’s gone to almost everyone in the house and gone through his game from week one. He’s told everyone which moves he’s made and why he made them. (Alot of the moves arn’t his but he thinks they are) I guess as a fan of the show, he knows there’s almost no time to explain your game during the F2 speech. He told Quinn he needs people to know his game before they leave to go to the jury house. (Sure, I get that but he has NO finesse and he’s doing a poor job of it)

There’s no explanation for some of the other things he’s doing. Joseph and Quinn have been ranking the players every week, which alot of superfan hg’s do, but it’s something gdone in private and to the cameras! Not Joseph, he feels the need to share. He’s told almost everyone where he thinks they’re ranked as far as their game play. (Rubina took issue with him putting her and T’kor at the bottom)

He tells everyone how much air time he thinks they’re all getting on the episodes too. (Rubina isn’t getting any according to Joseph) He REALLY doesn’t like Rubina. I think it’s only because he felt like Rubina stole Tucker from him. Here’s an old screenshot that says alot:

I’m not sure if Joseph shared this with the others but he told Quinn he thinks he and Quinn are in the running for AFP. He’s confident Tucker would’ve had a shot at it but doesn’t anymore. No, it’s not because he left prejury. Joseph said it’s because he got in a showmance with Rubina and that ruined his chances. (Did I mention he really doesn’t like Rubina?)
Tucker back with Ziggi:

If that wasn’t enough, Joseph’s also been telling everyone that no one can beat him in the F2. He says it’s because of his amazing social game. He’s also admitted he’s throwing comps and plans to throw ALL of them. (Dr. Will is his BB hero and he wants to win the game without winning any comps like he did) For such a fan of the show, he doesn’t understand how much the game’s changed over the years. I don’t see anyone winning this game without a comp win under their belt. (I wish it were possible but players value comp wins more than they used to)

As you can imagine, this cockiness isn’t sitting well with the others. Even MJ, who wants Angela out as much as Quinn, said she’d be fine with Angela coming off the block if Quinn would put Joseph up. (That’s not gonna happen) He’s even told people his F2 with Tucker was real because he would’ve beaten Tucker. (What he really told the people he’d been working with was that he wasn’t loyal to them without saying it) Seriously, Joseph spent the weekend making himself the biggest target in the house for most of them. (T’kor will still target Quinn)

All he had to do was use that “amazing social game” of his this week nothing else. He was totally safe but with Leah spending all her time with Quinn instead of him, I guess he needed something to do. (???) He may have destroyed his game this weekend with absolutely no help from anyone. He may have a better chance of Quinn wanting to have a real F2 with him but it’s the only positive I think this weekend may have accidentally caused.

When Quinn camera talked, he ran thru F2 scenarios and who he could beat. They one that worried him was against Joseph. (Quinn gives Joseph way too much credit for the game he’s playing) After everything Quinn’s heard about Joseph this weekend, surely he’s realizing he could beat Joseph.

Joseph had a talk with Angela and was a bit too blunt with her. He told her Leah wouldn’t use the veto and nothing she could do would changer her being Quinns target. He basically told her she’d screwed up way too many times and she should consider herself lucky to have made it this far. (Ok, true but damn!)
Angela planning Josephs murder?

Later, Joseph talked to Chelsie about it. He said he realized he’d been a little too mean with Angela. He said he was realizing he had more of a mean streak than he knew and that he needed to work on it. (I didn’t hear him regretting all the other shit he said to people all weekend)

Leah held one on ones with everyone yesterday. She wanted to get everyone’s thoughts on whether or not she should use the veto. She wanted to use it but didn’t want Quinn or anyone else mad at her. (Don’t forget, she made a F2 with Angela just a few days ago) At first, people may have been upset over it but with Joseph’s antics, they’d be fine with it if he was the renom.

Quinn initially told her to do what she wanted because she’d earned it. She asked who the renom would be. He said everyone would have to draw skittles to decide if he couldn’t get anyone to volunteer. (He must’ve watched BBCanada and the gummie bears)

Leah explained why using it on Angela would be good for her game. (It would) She said Angela was a jury vote for her if she made it to the F2. She also insinuated production really wants it used. (I bet they do, haha) Leah also sees it as a power move to have it and do something with it.

She and Quinn were still talking about it when I began writing the recap this morning. He’d given her some fairly sound reasons why she shouldn’t use it. (She’d go otb with Angela and be seen as a duo, she’d probably go home over Angela, etc.) He also begged and may have even cried a little. He told her it wasn’t the power move she thought it was and said “there won’t be any youtube videos made over the move.” (Did the Joseph in him jump out a little bit?)
Leah flexing her power move muscles:

It could change once she’s out of the hoh room and starts her day but for now, Quinn’s talked her out of using it. Leah said Angela may still stay by winning the AI comp and she wouldn’t have to make a renom mad. She also said Angela told her she wouldn’t be upset with her if she didn’t use it. (I wouldn’t take that one to the bank if I were Leah)
This woman? Nah, she won’t be upset at all!

The last thing I’ll mention is Quinns crush on Leah. It may have hit all time levels since his hoh. He’s said he knows he can’t trust her but his actions are telling us something else and he’s telling her everything. She’s hanging out in the hoh room for hours and hours. They make fun of his ‘crush rival’ Joseph together. He’s just living his beat life this week.

While referring to what she should do with the veto, Leah asked Quinn “what do you think?” For some reason, Quinn took it as an opportunity to tell Leah what he thought about her. He said “you are sick nasty. You’re incredible. You looked really cool in yellow. I like your smile and you treat people with kindness. You’re really funny. You’re really good at cooking. There’s a lot. The word sensational comes to mind when I think of you…” (There was more but you get the picture) He’s got it bad for Leah folks!
Kimo getting a back scratch. I wonder if it feels like a knife.

I’m anxious for the veto ceremony to see if Leah changes her mind. I’m pretty confident if she doesn’t, it won’t be to help Quinn. It will be because Quinn manipulated her enough to convince her it’s bad for HER. With a normal F2 partner, it would be a no brainer to use it. Even with it being Angela, I still think she should use it. I just don’t think it’s as crucial because it IS Angela. I’ve also feltin the past like Angela may have been the only person Leah could beat in a F2. With a veto win and getting more into the game, that may not be the case anymore. (I think she’d beat Joseph if the vote was today)
Some Random Tidbits:
Rubina, MJ and Cam took turns hitting each other in the face with tortillas:

The thing that made me laugh was when the camera panned out and you could see Rubina was standing on a stool:

T’kor went to break the balls on the pool table. First, I thought it was funny the balls were still in the rack. After she hit it, you can also see there was still a cue stick on the table:

A bird flew over T’kor, who is already afraid of birds, and pooped on her. I’ve always heard that was good luck so maybe it will help her in the game. (?)

Rubina boxing with oven mitts. She was also teaching some of them. How to tie a cherry stem with their tongue. Cam blocked the camera when she did it so I didn’t get a shot of it:

A rare shot of T’kor without her glasses. It’s from last week:

Tucker running into some fans:

Brooklyn having lunch with Jessica, Kat and Alena:

I guess Cody was there too:

Angela making sure she wasn’t a have not:

Angela asking MJ if she could pick her in the veto. (Yikes!) She ended up choosing Joseph instead:

Angelo told Kimo she was a “spitfire” outside of the house and said she held back while in the house. (Hahaha, I can’t imagine Angela being even more Angela)

T’kor, who wanted to start working with MJ, has probably changed her mind. She’s irritated at MJ over constantly rubbing Cam’s head in front of Chelsie. She said it’s because MJ knows Chelsie likes Cam:

Tucker brought dissolvable swim trunk in the house. They found them and are hoping to trick Joseph into wearing them.

Cam comforting Angela:

They decided to “row a boat” on the hoh bed:

I had some funny quotes to post but they’re definitely gonna have to wait until Wednesday. Now, we just wait and see if Angela gets saved again. (I don’t think so) I’m also curious to see if Leah goes back to hating Quinn when his hoh power is over. (Haha) I’m off to see whats going on with my eye or go buy a pirate eye patch so for the rest of you, have a great Monday!
