Big Brother 26-Mels Monday Recap 9/23/24

Good morning, We’re nearing the end and after Jankie World, I thought it might get boring. (It always does at the end) Leah’s hoh mistake opened up a path for Chelsie to get to the end. It wasn’t a given tho since MJ was starting to play better and can win comps. (Remember last week when she knew T’kor needed to go?)

After MJ pushed last week, I was starting to see her as Chelsie’s biggest competition. She also won the hoh this week, was solidly playing the middle and was about to steal that position from Chelsie, even if by accident. Even in a season filled with bad hoh’s, I didn’t expect MJ to make a bad move this week. (Her correct move was too obvious) She had a plan laid out last week and it was a decent one.

She’d planned to nominate Kimo and Rubina and evict one of them if she won. She’d still be in the middle with Cam and Chelsie on one side and Leah and Angela on the other. They could go after each other while MJ snuck her way to the end. What I didn’t expect after Leah’s bad HOH was for MJ to say “hold my beer.” She did since she plans to have the veto used today. I’m realizing now that MJ hadn’t started playing better last week. She didn’t want T’kor out to weaken Chelsie. She wanted her out so she could step into T’kor’s spot with Chelsie. Let’s get into the weekend recap to see how we got here…
Friday
MJ won the hoh and planned to take out Angela this week. (mistake #1) She told everyone the truth except Angela and Leah. They thought Kimo was the target. She also planned to make the vote a tie because she wanted to break it and send Angela out. (mistake #2)

Angela wants a final 3 with Leah and MJ. She’s willing to target Chelsie so MJ wouldn’t have to do it but MJ doesn’t see that as valuable. By Friday evening, Angela and Kimo were on the block again. (Angela-6th and Kimo-5th)

I admit I spaced out a bit on the feeds Friday afternoon. I had them on but wouldn’t give it to my full attention. It’s because the day turned into a Leah bashing day. The game play hadn’t felt personal this season until this week and I was tired of hearing it. MJ and Chelsie complained about EVERYTHING Leah says and does on Friday.

Leah made them all salmon and salad for lunch. They complained the lunch was “too heavy,” said she made it too close to the nom meeting and complained she left the kitchen a mess. (She didn’t. Leah, Kimo and Cam cleaned up. MJ and Chelsie did NOT help clean up)

They complained about how Leah talks, when she talks, what she says and so on. Cam chimed in too since Chelsie has him convinced Leah is a terrible person. Kimo and Rubina got their licks in too so it got old and I couldn’t keep absorbing it all day. If it’s strategy talk, it’s different but this was just Leah bashing.

Angela spent the day confused and Kimo said he felt expendable. (He is) Angela asked Leah if she thought she really was a pawn and Leah said she did. Kimo told Rubina he wouldn’t ask her to use the veto if he won it. (These two are ridiculous) She told him she would use it anyway. Rubina’s also decided she doesn’t want to win the next HOH if it’s a double eviction. Her reason: “You don’t get the hoh room and all the hoh stuff.” (Yep, that what she said)
Rubina falling out of the hammock:

Chelsie got emotional Friday night. She was missing her friends and family. She’s made fun of other people for having moments like this but I’ll still give her a break. I mean, she’s one of only two people who work hard all day, every day. (Angela is the other one) She HAS to be exhausted by now!

There was also some talk about trying to get Angela to choose Cam to play for her in the veto. The plan was for Cam to convince Angela he’d use it and then simply not do it.

Leah spoke to Rubina in the unicorn bedroom Friday night. She talked about feeling bad for T’kor leaving and realized she messed up during her hoh. She said she should’ve taken the shot at Chelsie. (All that BFF stuff from Chelsie last week was over and Leah knew it)

Leah suggested taking out Chelsie in the double. She said Quinn always told her the double was often used to take out big players. Rubina agreed with everything Leah said but you just knew, Chelsie and MJ were gonna hear it all the next day. (I couldn’t even feel bad for Leah for this because what did she expect? She’d just put Rubina on the block.)

Saturday
They picked players for the veto comp early and Rubina was the only one who wasn’t going to play. Listening to MJ retell about the choip picks, she said Leah looked confused. She and Chelsie thought it was funny that MJ picked Cam to play instead of Leah.

Chelsie continued to push for MJ to target Leah. She told some truths about Leah, but mostly said things that weren’t true. The things that were true were things that would hurt Chelsie’s game, not MJ’s. She brought in Cam as back up to help push for it. MJ held firm and said she couldn’t do it on her hoh. Cam and Chelsie said they understood. (Again)

MJ and Chelsie debated over who Cam would take to the end. They both claimed it would be the other one. They were both lying and both feel confident it would be themselves.

Cam and Rubina had a funny convo and it was welcomed after all the negative trash talking. They joked about how neither of them could win the game. Cam said “technically they were good players” since they’d made it to jury. (He was kidding) Rubina laughed and said “no, we’re not” and then suggested they go to the end together.

Zingbot arrived but it was on the episode last night so no need to go over them. I’ll just mention the one for Chelsie since it explained some things that happened in the house. She had another strange “you treat me like crap” convo with Cam that didn’t make any sense at the time. (covered below)

They’d hashed everything out during Jankie week so I didn’t understand the need for it again. (Her Zing explained it) I just didn’t know at the time exactly what Zingbot had said to her. Saying she didn’t have a chance with Cam hit a nerve.

The veto was a long one since it was individually timed. MJ won it and it sounded like she won by ALOT. Leah came in 2nd with Angela and Kimo timing out. MJ was already cocky but this put it over the top. The rest of Saturday was spent listening to how she’s the new Tucker. The other hg’s said it but mainly because MJ keeps saying it. She’s still saying she’s a comp beast, how she’d beat Leah in a final 2, etc. (At least we figured out why she doesn’t want to get rid of Chelsie. It’s obvious, she thinks she’ll beat her.)
Side Note:
MJ isn’t any more of a comp beast than Angela. They’ve won the same amount of comps. (3) She counts her AIA wins but I don’t. You only compete against 2 other people in those. It’s just not the same thing in my opinion. (It’s the same way I wouldn’t count Leah’s Jankie veto as a win. She didn’t win, she came in 2nd)

MJ also won a movie screening and was allowed to invite 3 other people. (I think it was the movie Cirie’s been advertising) She invited Cam, Kimo and Rubina and said she was taking the people who hadn’t won an HOH. (It was actually a good way to choose) Neither Chelsie or Leah were happy with her choices.

This veto win didn’t do MJ any favors. By the end of the day, everyone plans to target her except….you guessed it….Leah and Angela. Kimo and Rubina said MJ needed to go in the double after these 2 wins this week.

Cam and Chelsie said if they couldn’t get Leah next week, they’d take out MJ. (This is when they thought Angela would go this week and they could target Leah next week)

Kimo and Rubina talked about how they hope Leah doesn’t target Chelsie next week. (Who the hell do they want her to target?) They talked more about MJ needing to go but said they didn’t want to do it themselves. They said they “didn’t want to get the blood on their hands.” They hope Chelsie will do it for them. (It takes a good player to get other people to do your dirty work at the final 7. Neither of them is that kind of player)

Chelsie put in more work Friday night to make sure she’s their new leader since T’kor is gone. (I guess it worked)

Chelsie may not be fun to root for (for me at least) but she’s playing circles around most of them.

Chelsie and Cam talked in the bedroom. (The convo I referenced above) She told him “you treat me like dog shit” and said “worse, you clean up the dog shit of other women.” (She needs to work on her metaphors) As usual, Cam was totally confused and tried telling her, she was his #1 in the game. He asked for examples of how he treated her badly.

She couldn’t really give any because she doesn’t have any. She reverted to her usual “the entire house is talking about it.” (They’re not talking about it) The best she could come up with was that he didn’t compliment her enough in the game.

I think Cam’s just going to remain confused until the show ends, he gets out of the house and sees what this was really all about. I’m assuming this will happen right before him and “all the dogs at the crib” head to get Cam a restraining order.

Chelsie asked MJ her top 3 reasons for not targeting Leah this week. (The reasons she gave would be the things Chelsie would have arguments for on Sunday. Haha) Chelsie also told MJ she wanted a F2 with her and that was it for Saturday.
Sunday:
Angela and Leah checked in and were getting the bday after veto nerves. They talked about how Chelsie twists peoples words. Leah brought up again how she should’ve taken the shot at Chelsie last week. (At least she sees it finally, even tho it’s too late. Personally, I like when a player can pinpoint what lost them the game. They usually don’t have a clue)

Angela said she hoped MJ could see that Chelsie and Cam were a lot closer to each other than they were to her. She also warned Leah that MJ had gotten really close to Chelsie. She brought up the way MJ always looks to Chelsie after a win to celebrate. (True, Angela’s crazy but observant)

Chelsie, who was only biding her time before she started in on MJ again. (Cam helped too) They worked on her more about the need to target Leah this week. Cam said Leah was playing the best game in the house. MJ’s ego can’t handle hearing that part.

Chelsie said Leah wouldn’t be bitter, said she’d get over it, told her Leah would target her eventually, etc. (You could see MJ’s expression begin to change and could tell the moment it started to work)

Side Note:
Sure, Chelsie wanted Leah out already but MJ fueled the fire. If MJ doesn’t want to do it and knows it’s bad for her game, why in the hell does she run to Chelsie and tell her everything Leah says about her? (She doesn’t get how you play the middle at all)

Instead of thinking it over to herself, like any good player would, MJ began making the rounds to discuss it. (Actually, a good player wouldn’t even consider this stupid shit) She talked with Rubina to get her thoughts on it. Naturally Rubina thought it was a great idea. The first plan was for MJ to take Angela off the block and put up Leah. It wasn’t long before she’d moved on to taking Kimo down. Rubina also talked about wanting 2 women at the end AGAIN. (That’s ironic since they want 2 women otb this week!)

Yeaterday may have been some of the dumbest convos I’ve ever listened to in the BB house. MJ said she hoped Angela wouldn’t be mad at her. She listed all her (I mean, Chelsie’s) reasons for making the move but they were all reasons Leah should stay. In typical MJ style, as the day went on, the reasons became personal. It became about how Leah was jealous of her and said Leah had the nerve to say “me and Matt were more of a shomance than you guys.” (That’s not true. That’s something MJ used to say to people to put a target on Leah)

MJ said she KNEW Leah would never put her up but also thinks Leah may target her. (???) She said she knows Leah will target Chelsie. (Well, we can’t have that!) MJ asked which move they (the jury and everyone left in the house) would respect more. She asked the same when she talked to Kimo. Even Kimo asked it it was good for her game. (Haha) When Kimo had an opening to help himself, he told her to do whatever was best for her game. (It will be a crime if Kimo or Rubina win the game)

MJ asked if Leah talked about her to them when they were in the backyard. He said no, they’d been talking about how Leah missed Quinn. (True)

MJ reminds me of a wind up toy and she was wound up. (Just like when Chelsie and MJ were grilling Leah, the night before Chelsie put Quinn on the block) By the time Leah talked to MJ, I think she’d already decided.

Leah was paranoid because she’d been on the balcony but Rubina and Chelaie didn’t know it. (Before she talked to MJ) They were whispering and it made Leah nervous. Leah went in the house but came back out. When she came back out, Chelsie was standing on the balcony. (It was obvious to anyone, Chelsie was checking to see if you could hear from up there)

Leah went to talk about her paranoia but MJ was ready to grill her. She wanted to know how Leah saw them together in the game. Leah said she wanted them to stay together to the end. She admitted Chelsie made her nervous because she knew Chelsie talked about her. She said she knew she was targeting her.

MJ played along for a while but eventually put her sunglasses back on for the rest of their talk. (If someones wearing sunglasses and won’t look me in the eye, I’m gonna be nervous) It got even worse (for MJ) because Leah talked about feeling bad for targeting T’kor. She said she’d have someone bitter against her in the jury because of it too. (hint, hint MJ)

Leah went on to say she realizes now, she played someone else’s game last week. (hint, hint, hint MJ) She blamed Chelsie for T’kor going on the block. (Leah’s off base on that one) She said Chelsie lies to Kimo and Rubina about it because Chelsie also wanted T’kor on the block. (That parts true)
This was Leah’s reaction when MJ won the hoh:

MJ said Chelsie doesn’t know where Leah stands in the game. (It’s what MJ said last week too) Leah said she knew that and tried to prove it to Chelsie last week. She said she can tell it didn’t make a difference.
What’s this? An idiot sandwich:

One of the things MJ asked Chelsie was if she should give Leah and Angela a heads up or just blind side them. Chelsie said she should fix it after she did it. (Of course she did) Chelsie also somehow has MJ convinced that Leah “stole MJ’s social strategy” for the game and used it for herself.

This hit a nerve because waaayyyy back in week 1, MJ told Matt something about how she was alot like Leah but couldn’t be that way since Leah was there being that way. (It never made any sense other than jealousy of some kind)

While MJ was busy destroying her game, Chelsie talked to the cameras. She said she couldn’t believe she got MJ talked into taking Leah out this week. (That makes all of us girl) She laughed about it and said it was crazy. (Yep)

MJ spoke to Angela too so I guess she decided not to blindside both Angela and Leah at least. Angela was shocked but being a better gamer than MJ, Angela is self-interested. She promised to keep quiet and vote how MJ wanted. Angela said she was sick when MJ told her all the lies about Leah. She promised all the things and said “no one tells me shit.”

MJ wants to take out the only 2 people who won’t put her otb heading into a double….when she can’t compete in the hoh comp. No, they don’t know for sure, but they’re planning for a double this week. MJ made everyone promise they’d take Angela out next if she takes out Leah this week.

I said Leah’s hoh made a path for Chelsie to win the game. If MJ makes this move, she’s adding signs with arrows pointing Chelsie to the finish line and maybe some flood lights too. (Can’t have Chelsie getting lost along the way)
Yes Cam, I’m laughing too:

Leah is the biggest shield in the game for MJ and she KNOWS it. Angela is too but to a lesser extent. If this happens today, give Chelsie the check, it’s over. Im talking about being strategically over. Sure, MJ could win a veto to keep herself in the house but why would you want to play that way? She’ll be forcing herself to have to comp her way to the end. At least, according to her, she’s “a comp beast” so there’s that.

The veto meeting will be today and the feeds may be good, especially if MJ doesn’t tell Leah in advance. My advice is, enjoy them because the rest of the game may be dull. I’m not even complaining though because this season has been a rollercoaster every week. (I’ve thorough enjoyed this season, terrible game play but fun!) Plus, it always gets slow at the end. The difference is, it usually happens out of a lack of people in the house rather than stupidity.

Leah probably won’t but I hope all of you have a great Monday!
