Big Brother 26-Mels Wednesday Recap 10/09/24

Good morning, Here’s the recap from the past couple of days, even tho it probably isn’t needed at this point. (Hey, it’s at least a new thread for comments) I’ll do a final recap on Friday and that will probably be it for me for the season. In the past, I’ve done my thoughts on the games of the final 3. I’ve gone week by week and covered the games moves they each made to get them to the end. I didn’t do one last year and won’t this year for the same reason. (Where was the strategy during last season or this one?) Only 1 player left in the house had a strategy and used it for their game.

I don’t agree with some that Cam hasn’t played the game. However, he hasn’t done anything that warrants any game analysis. He pushed Chelsie and MJ to evict the person he wanted out a few times this season. He almost did it again with Kimo last week. Those were good moves at the time but his inability to win comps hurt his game. I don’t say that because I care about comp wins. He just hasn’t had any power to make a real move. I guess he did have a strategy but he wasn’t able to pull it off so it doesnt matter.

As for Rubina, she should feel lucky to be in the F4. She probably has 2 locked in votes in jury already but those votes are from her friends and don’t have anything to do with her game. Sure, she can say “I survived” but that’s about it. She survived because she isn’t good in comps or strategically. That’s not a resume I’d hang my hat on for a win. She met Tucker so hopefully that works out for her. It would be more than most other evicted house guests could say.

MJ’s won a ton of comps and???? What else has she done? She’ll be know for being Chelsie’s puppet. Except for pushing to take out Kimo last week, every decision she’s made was the wrong one. Sure, she’s there but that doesn’t mean she made the optimal moves at the time. Who takes out their own allies and keeps someone elses? Do you remember how close she was to losing this last veto? If she had, she be leaving tomorrow at the F4.

If the F4 were MJ, Leah, Angela and Chelsie, who would have better odds of getting to the F2? On top of that, if Chelsie was gone, who would beat MJ? Those are things MJ could’ve made happen with her comp wins but didn’t.
I could never see her game as a winning one for 1 reason. She’s always planned to go to the F2 with Chelsie. Once again, she’s intentionally trying to make the worst game decision she can make. The only difference in MJ’s game and Jag’s game from last season is Matt wasn’t the game player Chelsie is so Jag at least made his own decisions whenever he won.

MJ’s debated all week over who to evict. She already knows what she’s doing. She only acts like she doesn’t because she wants to keep talking about it. If the decisions been made, she can’t justify sitting around talking about how awful Rubina and Cam are as players? She’s still bashing Angela but even that may be getting old for her. She needs people to shit talk and she’s using her veto win to do it.

It took Chelsie a little longer on this one but she finally has MJ convinced Rubina will win the game if she makes it to the end. MJ parrots whatever Chelsie says so now MJ says Rubina has a great resume because it’s what Chelsie told her. MJ said she still wants to have 1 more convo with Rubina to be sure but has pretty much made up her mind. (meaning Chelsie’s made up MJ’s mind)

MJ keeps complaining that Rubina hasn’t talked to her but MJ is making that talk harder to happen. She sleeps in the hoh room with Chelsie and leaves rooms when she and Rubina could have a moment alone. Rubina’s picked up on it and yesterday said to herself “I think MJ’s avoiding me.”

Cam had another good talk with MJ tho and it may have sealed the deal. MJ was still annoyed over Cam wanting to keep Kimo and asked him about it. He told her he had a better relationship with Kimo than Rubina. He admitted that keeping Kimo would’ve probably been better for his game than MJ’s or Chelsie’s. He said his loyalty still remained with the two of them and that’s where it had always been.

Along with napping, tie dye and not knowing the rules for backgammon, that’s about all that’s happened. That’s if you don’t count all the shit talking Chelsie and MJ do about Rubina and Cam.

After hanging out in the hoh room with them for a while, Rubina camera talked and said to those are just “not her people.” She said she’s 35 and they talk like they’re back in high school (True) She had another camera talk where she said no matter what happened, she was proud of herself.

Cam did some magic tricks with the cards and asked where popcorn came from but shockingly, none of them knew. (OK, Alyssa from BB24 thinking Paris is in England may finally get a break. Popcorn tops Paris since it’s origin is in the damn name!)

Rubina and MJ had planned to do more tie dye but MJ took off for the hoh room instead. MJ told Chelsie she couldn’t believe Rubina didn’t want to talk and said “she just wants to do tie dye.” Umm, maybe they could’ve talked while doing it?? Maybe that was Rubina’s way of easing into the conversation?

Like I said, MJ wants both Cam and Rubina to grovel and beg. (I’m not assuming that since she practically said it to Chelsie) MJ complained Rubina hadn’t had the talk with her. After Rubina asked to talk, MJ complained about how long she’d waited to do it. She said “why does she want to talk now?” Chelsie chimes in with it too to keep MJ on the right track, which is her track.

Chelsie also talked to the cameras. She said she thinks both Cam and MJ will take her to the F2. She said she wants to win the final hoh anyway and be the one to decide. I’m still not clear if she plans on taking MJ or Cam. (I’m assuming Cam but who knows?) I don’t think it matters because I think she beats them both.

Chelsie suggested MJ not tell Rubina her decision ahead of time and MJ agreed. MJ said she isn’t going to tell Cam either. (She WANTS them to squirm, remember?) Of course, Chelsie agreed with this approach because why help MJ with jury management? MJ could’ve asked Cam or Rubina to promise to take her to the F2 if she kept them this week. That hasn’t happened and I don’t see it happening.

Chelsie and Cam talked about how they may be perceived outside of the house. They both said they’d heard Big Brother fans can be hard on the house guests. (Very true!) During Chelsie’s camera talk, she mentioned getting annoyed with the other people in the house. She acknowledged it may only be happening because they’ve been together for so long.

She makes a good point, and it’s something we all need to remember.
There are people I love but if I was shut up with them for 90 days, I’d probably be sick of them. This would probably be happening even without me being aware of the things they said behind my back. We see all of that with the hg’s for 3 months. I don’t think it’s possible to like them ALL the time. We’re seeing them under stress and not at their best at times.

I may not care for Chelsie’s weird obsession with Cam, MJ’s petty and childish attitude or Rubina saying things like “the good people with heart made it to the end.” However, this has been an unproblematic cast and they all seem like decent people. It’s been a fun season too no matter how it ends on Sunday.
Have a great Wednesday!
