Big Brother 26-Mels Wednesday Recap 7/31/24

Good morning BBJ, It’s been a messy couple of days in the BB house. Monday started off slow with alot more shomance talk and the hg’s sitting around socializing. Since then, quite a few things have happened. We finally have a house that’s starting to play the game. (Most of them anyway)

MJ and Leah continued to try and take over Chelsie’s hoh room. They actually tried to take over the HOH but Chelsie didn’t let it happen. (I’m not sure she furthered her game a lot with this hoh but she at least, didn’t hurt it) It’s been hard for most of her alliance to have much time with her because of MJ and Leah. I get why she spent so much time with them but she may be starting to be left out of other things now. Theu formed an all girls alliance with MJ, Leah, Chelsie, Brooklyn and Rubina. (All the women except T’kor, Angela and Lisa) I don’t think it’s real to anyone other than MJ and Leah. This was during the late bonding over trash talking Lisa on Sunday night.

On Monday, Tucker began having second thoughts about going on the block. He suggested MJ go up to flush her power. Chelsea talked through all the scenarios during a Cam talk alone but put Tucker otb anyway. It could be good for the HOH to put MJ up there, let her save herself and America make a new nom. That way, as the hoh, you’d know it couldn’t be you. On the other hand, Chelsie’s put in a lot of work to make MJ and Leah think she’s working with them. She went the route of just making sure she won’t be the target if MJ or Leah win the next hoh. Since word has spread that MJ can take herself down, I think it’s possible no one puts her up until her power expires. (It’s the safer play since no one knows who will go up in her place. It would be the same thing as if MJ’s power was just a 4 week safety)

Quinn camera talked and said he was fine with Lisa going home this week even tho Angela is tryjng ro ruin his game. He found out Lisa tossed T’kor’s name out so he said she had to go. T”kor and Kimo are his true alliance (I think) so he wants to protect her. He also talked about the time he’d put in trying to work with Leah. He sounded as if he was giving up on it. He said he knows she’s in some kind of showmance with Cam plus, it’s hard to get her to talk any actual game. Quinn also said he was going to try to form something with Kenney. (He’d be working with everyone in the house if he did)

Quinn was a step behind because he didn’t know Leah had moved on to Tucker. Leah spent the first part of Monday trying to catch Tucker alone. She finally found him in the bathroom so she could flirt with him. She kept trying to steer the conversation towards showmances but Tucker had other things on his mind. He doesn’t like how messy everyone is, how much food’s getting wasted and the fact that no one in the house recycles anything. Leah mentioned that 3 people keep following her around and said it’s annoying. (Cam, Lisa and MJ)

Tucker left and went to the rock bedroom. Leah followed him and it was pretty hilarious. She tried listening at the door first and Tucker caught her.

After she went in the room, she tried again. She finally got around to bringing up how she had had a talk with Rubina about Tucker. Leah told him Rubina had said there was nothing going on between Tucker and Rubina.

Tucker agreed and said they’d talked about neither wanting a showmance. Tucker made it clear, he waant interested. Before Leah could get much further, Cam came into the bedroom too. (Cam was following Leah the same way Leah was following Tucker)

Angela was telling people (when they would talk to her) how she just wanted to have fun and enjoy the rest of her time there. She told Kenney if she leaves on Thursday, she had a secret she was going to tell him on her way out. Angela was still convinced she was leaving and everyone was lying to her. (I don’t blame her for this because most of the house is barely speaking to her. I do blame her for not believing them before her current situation!)

Angela also asked Kenney if he’d like to work with her if she stayed. He said he was going to keep playing alone. (basically turned her down, haha)

Meanwhile, Lisa was losing her mind. She was laughing hysterically in the backyard by herself. Cedric, who was on the balcony trying to have a bit of alone time, asked her what was so funny.

It took what felt like forever, but she finally said it was so funny that people thought she wasn’t a chef. She talked about how that was a huge part of her identity and couldn’t believe people didn’t believe her. (Lisa was doing the kind of laughing that’s from discomfort when you absolutely DON’T think it’s funny)

The have nots stayed outside during dinner. (Tucker and Brooklyn made a good dinner) By Monday, the lack of food and Lisa’s weird slop recipes were starting to get to them. They joked around while everyone ate and rolled back and forth across the backyard. (Don’t ask me why?) They came back in before dessert was eaten and weren’t happy. There was chocolate cake or maybe brownies. (I only paid attention when it was still batter) This was MJ and Rubina watching the others eat it. (Haha):

This was from the same dinner. The separation of people is so noticeable. Kenney stays as far away from Angela as he can get:

Cam told Leah he had a dream about her. (a sexual one) They flirted while talking about how they should stop flirting. (Eyeroll) Later, Leah told Chelsie and others about Cams dream. She also retold her convo with Tucker. (She exaggerated alot of it)

When Angela told Kenney she had something to tell him as she left on Thursday, I knew she wouldn’t be able to hold it in. However, I did think she might make it through the rest of the day! (I was wrong)

While sitting with Kenney, Kimo, Joseph, Cam and Cedric, she said she knew what the power was but said she didn’t have it. She said it would take over the hoh when it was used. (I kept wondering what Kimo was thinking since he knows Quinn has it and knows Angela’s telling the truth)

They acted out some skits later that night. This is from one of Tucker’s. He’s giving birth, Kimo’s delivering the baby and Quinn ran over to be the baby. (Boredom. I guess):

Still not getting enough of a reaction or curiosity from anyone, Angela tried again. She told Tucker that Quinn had the power but Tucker didn’t believe her. At one point, Quinn overheard her talking about it but he didn’t confront her. He complained about it to a couple of people later and moved on. (I wonder how many times Quinn has regretted telling Angela)

This entire situation is hilarious to me when you think about it. First, Angela is the one who originally convinced people Lisa had a power and part of why she isn’t believed now. Second, Lisa having a power is one of the reasons they want to take her out of the game. Sure, it’s not the only reason but it’s a big one. If Angela convinces people Lisa doesn’t have it, it could be a reason to keep Lisa over her.

T”kor and Kimo have stepped up their gaming. There was talk about forming a bigger alliance on the outside of the one they have with Quinn. T”kor wanted around 7 or 8 people in it. These conversations continued into Tuesday. T”kor and Rubina talked about it and what they want is the two of them, Kimo, Quinn, Tucker and maybe Joseph.

T’kor and Kimo liked the idea of bringing in Kenney if possible too. (It’s not) T’kor ran it past Tucker and he was on board. He said he thought five was a more reasonable number and shouldn’t get too many people involved. (Correct)

As I mentioned earlier, Quinn had similar thoughts about working with Kenney. Back when Matt was still in the house, Kenney somehow clocked that Quinn, Kimo and Joseph were working together. He told Matt those were the 3 he’d put up if he won the hoh. This is Quinn having a very awkward conversation with Kenney:

Okay, I notice this almost every year when alliances start to form. People continue to make the same mistake and I see it happening again. For example, when the girls alliance formed, they left out T’kor. There’s nothing wrong with not including all the women in an alliance. Actually, that’s the real reason I think a girl’s alliance never works. When guys form an alliance, they look around to see who they gel with and that’s who they include. For some reason, when the women try, they always try to include every woman in the house. I don’t know why but it’s always this way.

The women who made the alliance Sunday night had the right idea and didn’t include everyone. Here comes the mistake though…people just count numbers without factoring in other things. Rubina was included but she’s close to T’kor. That means you can almost guarantee either the alliance won’t be real to Rubina or she’ll tell T’kor about it.

The same thing was happening when T’kor and Rubina were considering who to bring into this new alliance. You HAVE to look at who spends time together. If you see a couple of people behaving like an obvious duo, don’t try to bring in only one of the two. Later, things may get cut throat but not right now. If you only have T’kor in an alliance, she’s probably gonna tell Kimo. If you have Brooklyn in one, she’s probably gonna tell Rubina and so on.

Anyway, Angela had a camera talk that was cut off but we did hear her say she was going to stir things up. I said before, she thinks she’s leaving and needs to do something big to shake up the house and flip the vote to keep her. The whole thing has been so comical to watch. If Angela would just stay calm and lay low, she’d be fine, unless Lisa wins the AI comp Thursday. Because she thinks the whole house is lying to her, she doesn’t believe this is true.

She confronted Tucker in the bathroom. She said she knew he was lying to her and overheard him saying things about her. He tried explaining he still had to play the game. He practically begged her to trust him and said he had her back. Kimo was in there with them and he looked so uncomfortable. Haha

Next, Angela passed Lisa in the house and mimicked Lisa’s walk as she went past her. I bet I watched a clip of this fifteen times yesterday. Angela doing it was hilarious! LIsa’s reaction was hilarious! The entire thing is tv gold which means it probably won’t make an episode.:

Lisa complained to Brooklyn, Rubina and others about it. She also said she overheard Angela called her a “twit.” (She did, I heard it too) Lisa’s starting to play the victim. She’s saying she isn’t engaging with Angela and talks like she’s being bullied. Could they start to feel bad for Lisa and flip the vote again?

I think the vote flipping is possible but i’m not buying how Lisa is so innocent. Let’s face it, she’s as confrontational as Angela. She’s also the one who told Angela she didn’t want to associate with her inside or outside the house. (It was the convo that got cut off when Matt was still in the house) Before the feed’s cut, she also told Angela it would hurt her image and career if she was seen associating with Angela. I said it then and I’ll say it now. That’s more personal than anything Angela said to Matt. (Lisa isn’t innocent)

I also forgot to mention another final 2 that formed so I’ll just stick it here. Cedric proposed a F2 to Quinn. Cedric suggested they call it their initials “QC” for Quality Control. I don’t know how real it is for either of them but I like it if it’s real. (For once, I also like the name) It was funny to me that Quinn was targeting Cedric and now has a final 2 with him.

Tucker’s been filled in from Chelsie that Leah likes him. Chelsie retold some of the girl talk she had had with Leah. Unfortunately, Tucker’s spreading it around the house. I feel like Leah could be Tuckers new target to complain about if Lisa leaves.

It seema it should be either Lisa or Angela leaving. I really thought there was a chance once Tucker was on the block, talk would start about taking him out. So far it hasn’t. Everyone thinks Tucker’s fantastic and they absolutely don’t want him out yet. (I’m glad because he entertains me but I’d use the opportunity to evict him)

Angela spoke with Tucker again and Tucker tried to warn her that her antics could hurt her staying. He also told her she needed to stop talking about Quinn. (Shocker, Angela didn’t believe him) She said the only thing she was jeopardizing was Quinn’s game and the people working with him. (I guess Angela hasn’t stopped to realize ‘the people working with him’ are the damn votes she needs this week to stay!)

Kenney talked again about maybe wanting to leave. He said he didn’t know if 750k was worth it. (Matt and MJ said the same so that’s 3 people so far who are independently wealthy, I guess?) He said if he didn’t win the next hoh, he may have to have a talk with the house. (about voting him out I guess) I wish he’d had this realization before he won the veto! We could’ve kept Angela, Lisa and Tucker!!! MJ wondered if they should throw the hoh to him. (Hell no)

This may not matter much if Kenney’s wanting to quit again but just in case… Kenny thinks an all girls has formed and it sounds like that’s who he would target with his hoh. Tucker had an ill timed convo with him about working together in an alliance. (This whole thing is so dumb because Kenney actually has people wanting to work with him)

Angela also mentioned how she wanted to stay, win the next hoh and said she would put up Chelsie, MJ and Tucker. She thinks this will flush the powers out or something. I don’t know, I didn’t get to hear it all.

I know some people are wanting Angela to go this week because they think we’ll have more feeds if she goes. I’m not so sure because once she’s gone, the others will be free to talk about her. Any time she’s mentioned, the feeds are gonna cut. Personally, I don’t know what to root for this week.

I think it would be hilarious if volunteering to go on the block backfired on Tucker. At the same time, i’m not ready for him to go. I’m definitely not ready to lose Angela yet. However, I’ve already got to see an Angela hoh and I think a Lisa hoh could be really good feeds.

With Tucker and Kimo in a new alliance together, they talked a little game. Tucker told Kimo that Angela was claiming Quinn had the power. He also told him about MJ having one. Kimo ended up admitting to Tucker that Angela was telling the truth.

The look on Tucker’s face was pretty funny. He just had that recent talk with Lisa trying to get her to admit she had it. Kimo said they had to protect Quinn because Quinn had their backs. Unless I’m forgetting something, I think Tucker and Kimo may be the only two people in the house who know who has both powers.

I don’t know yet where this is gonna go but it could be interesting. Tucker kind of has a big mouth too so i’m curious to see if he keeps it to himself. I know he doesn’t like Lisa, but I could actually see him talking to her about it. He came at her the hardest for lying about having it. This whole thing could blow up in the next day or two. I’m curious to see if Quinn just finally tells everyone “hey, no hard feelings and the next hoh is mine no matter who wins.”

With this AI comp twist, we probably won’t get a waffle Wednesday. What we could get is a race between Lisa and Angela to see who can work the hardest to get themselves evicted.
