Big Brother 26-Mels Wednesday Recap 7/7/24

Good morning, it’s almost time for the veto episode and then America’s vote to put another houseguest on the block. I couldn’t count how many “strategies” I’ve ran across this week for the vote. For example, I’ve read about people wanting Quinn up so the Collective alliance doesn’t steamroll the season. (Quinn isn’t loyal to his Collective alliance so this one doesn’t make sense to me) I’ve also read the people want to put him up to prevent all the guys joining up and wiping out for women. (Quinn doesn’t want a guys alliance) The truth is, people are just going to vote for players they don’t like so it’s not that complicated.

It seems Quinn, Cam, Joseph and Leah are the frontrunners to go up. (at least from what I can tell and that’s not saying much) Let’s face it, production mostly controls who the 3rd nominee will be. The way the episode is edited tonight will have alot to do with who gets put on the block. Who comes out of it looking good or looking bad? I’d say keep an eye out for that during the episode and that may be a good indication of who will be sitting there tomorrow night.

Well, after I finished my Monday recap, the entire house blew up! I’m not going to go over it again in much detail because it’s already been covered a lot. I know when the feeds came back on after the veto ceremony, it was an entertaining afternoon. They came back on to the end of a house meeting. Tucker was airing EVERYTHING out because Cedric didn’t stick to the plan.

Cedric DID tell Tucker to use the veto on himself and said they didn’t have the votes to get Quinn out. Tucker said he didn’t care and was doing it (the plan) anyway. What I didn’t see was Cedric telling Tucker that he was going back to the plan of putting MJ on the block. (If he did, correct me)

Tucker said Cedric backstabbed him and maybe he did. It’s possible Tucker just thought Cedric was telling Tucker not to risk it. He may have thought Cedric meant he was still going to put Quinn up, but that he should take himself off the block in case they didn’t have the votes. That way, if the plan failed, at least Tucker would be safe.

It’s also possible Tucker knew what Cedric meant and was trying to force Cedrics hand. Tucker may have thought by sticking with the plan and taking Angela off the block, it would leave Cedric with no choice except to follow through it with it. (If that’s the cases, it sure as shit backfired!)

In the aftermath, Quinns power was outed, Kimo was outed for telling Tucker about it, T’kor found out Kimo hadn’t told her and Cedric was Tucker’s new target. (That part backfired on Cedric) Cam and Cedric discussed it the night before. They thought by ratting out Tucker, Quinn and Tucker would be after each other. It also sounds like most of the alliances (at least the fake ones) that have been made were outed too.

Cedric is still skeptical of Quinn but decided it was too early to take Quinn out and break up the Collective alliance. It doesn’t mean he still trusts Quinn. Quinn was greatful to Cedric for not doing it and telling him about Tucker’s plan. It doesn’t mean Quinn’s going to be loyal to Cedric or the alliance.
Along with the end of a house meeting, we saw part of an arguement between and Angela too. This is everyone else hugging in the kitchen while they went at it:

Kimo avoided T’kor and most everyone else for the rest of the day. They eventually talked and he gave T’kor an apology for not telling her about Quinn’s power.

She said it was OK but it wasn’t. I don’t think she was upset Kimo kept Quinns secret. She was upset over him telling Tucker instead of her.

Brooklyn decided to step into the mix and confront Kenney. Kenney’s led the charge about there being a womans alliance. He’s also spread it around the house that Brooklyn was at the head of it. She basically told him there wasn’t one, she wasn’t running anything, womans alliances have never worked, etc.

Kenney tried to lie out of it but apologized if he’d said anything that insinuated he’d thought it.

Cam and Leah had a VERY long convo too. He’d told her he wasn’t in any alliances and obviously, that wasn’t true. By talking to Cam and later Tucker, Leah found out Quinn’s lied to her. (being in other alliances) Leah’s been anti Cedric based off of things Quinn told her that Cedric said about her. I don’t know if Cedric was actually talking about Leah or not. It may have been true but I know Quinn was targeting Cedric that first week and he may have just wanted to turn Leah against Cedric. (Quinn’s actually given Leah too much info thats true. He even told her about his F3 with T’kor and Kimo)

Leah stopped talking game with Quinn but he hadn’t stopped wanting to work with her. She’s just been too busy playing Love Island to get into Big Brother. Anyway, she’s done with Quinn.

Tucker told her Quinn said he liked her and would give up his game for her. Leah said that ‘gave her the ick’or it was ‘cringe’ or some saying that’s equally stupid. (I doubt Quinn ever said this to Tucker but that’s just my opinion)

As for Cam, he tried to play dumb about knowing anything about anything. It didn’t work and he ended up telling everyone how he wasn’t cut out for the lying and backstabbing. (We always have one or a few who get on their moral high horse and Cam is one of those)

Cam walked around pretending to be T’kor, gave everyone a laugh and that may be the only entertaining things he’s done so far.

I’m not the only one who’s kind of over Cam. Chelsie and Cedric found out Cam was giving Leah way too much game info when he’d been saying he wasn’t. (When I say everyone’s secrets came out after that veto ceremony, I do mean everyones!) Cedric is trusting Cam less too now. It’s not so much that he doesn’t trust Cam. He just doesn’t trust him to keep his mouth shut around Leah.

MJ and Leah are throwing each other under the bus ALOT. It’s not even ‘under the bus’ in a game sense. (Neither of them have much game info) They’re basically just talking shit about each other all the time.

MJ is also trying to make an alliance with Tucker, Chelsie and Cam. She wants Rubina left out of it. (Yeah, I’m sure that’s really gonna work)

Angela gave Cedric a lecture about how he screwed up his hoh. (Yes, this came from Angela of all people, haha)

Yesterday, Kimo was really down and cried while talking to Joseph. He said the game is bring back bad memories from when he was younger. Maybe it is but his current situation probably has alot to do with it too. T’kor still seems to trust Kimo but she was more distant yesterday. He’s also realizing Tucker outed the info he’d given him about Quinns power without any thought to Kimo’s game.

I guess Tucker fixed it by giving Kimo a long hug. Kimo also asked if Tucker trusted him and Tucker said yes. (I’m curious if Kimo will side with Tucker over Quinn) At the tail end of this conversation and the hug, Cam walked in. He reached over to give them a pat in an awkward way. I would’ve turned around and left the room but I enjoyed the uncomfortable moment from Cam:

Rubina is close to Kimo and T’kor who are working with Quinn but she’s definitely sticking with Tucker. They’ve talked more about how they might be into each other outside of the house. (They’re into to each other inside of it too)

Rubina could end up being a casualty soon on a week someone misses their target. She could also be insulated and protected for a long time because a lot of people want to work with her. (Tucker, T’kor, Brooklyn, Quinn, Kimo)

T’kor is the most hesitant about Tucker. She thinks he’s too unpredictable. (No shit?)

Neither Tucker or Quinn are going to target T’kor, Kimo or Rubina. They both seem to be loyal to the same people, just not to each other. This is more of an issue for later unless….we end up with Quinn vs Tucker on the block Thursday.

We’ve got Quinn who lied to everyone in the house over one thing or another and got caught. He also has a power he could use to benefit your game next week if he stays.

We have Tucker, who everyone thinks is unpredictable and could demolish them in comps. The entire house is also crazy about him tho.

I want Kenney to go this week but Tucker vs Quinn would be more exciting. The hg’s could be split on who they’d want to keep. I want excitement too but let’s face it, a week will have to be wasted at some point to send Kenney home. It may well be this week instead of later down the road.

Yes, Kenney is still talking about going home. Kenney told Tucker he got a talking to in the DR. Apparently, they told him he had to stop talking about wanting to leave or he would forfeit his stipend money. (Angela gave him another one of her pep talks)

Quinn’s told Joseph almost everything at this point. Joseph knows about the Pentagon now, just not the name. He knows it’s an alliance within the one he’s in with the Collective. Joseph even talked to Kimo about maybe keeping Tucker over Quinn if they have the option. (I still don’t know how he sits this way):

Quinn did a decent job making his apology tour and has a good social game. That doesn’t mean people are going to go right back to trusting him again tho. Quinn having a power and keeping it a secret wasn’t a big deal. People working with Quinn finding out which people he told and which people he didn’t is the problem. That info was just as good as finding a priority list ranked in order.

Chelsie, along with Brooklyn, seemed the least bothered by Quinns secret. They’re still working with him and hope the alliance holds for a while.

Chelsie is still trash talking Cam to the viewers in her private convos. She’s also keeping her enemies (Leah and MJ) close to her for now. She’s ‘close’ to almost everyone in the house and is in a good position.

Brooklyn is another one who is playing a good game. Her name’s been mentioned but mostly by Kenney and Joseph. I’ve been impressed with her so far.
Some other random tidbits:
This crazy house finally had a family dinner.

There were earthquakes yesterday but the feeds were down. We don’t know if they were felt at the BB house. It wasn’t mentioned when the feeds came back up.

Rubina and Leah are overly upset with Quinn because he shares a room with them. After he got caught lying, they’ve decided he only wanted in their room so he could spy on them.

Quinn camera talked and said he’s going to test Leah. (He doesn’t know yet that she’s mad at him) Quinn’s planning on asking Leah if she thinks MJ would target him. He already knows she will and he’s wanting to see if Leah will tell him the truth.

Tucker and Cedric eventually hugged it out but they’re still targeting each other.

T’kor is getting alot closer to Cedric. He’s definitely loyal to her too but for how long? I think she needs a better partner than Kimo but Cedric isn’t a good choice.

Angela’s just living her best life for the moment. (I know a lot of viewers aren’t happy about that) It’s the first time she’s felt safe since her hoh ended.

This last one is super random but I forgot about it on Monday. Did anyone else notice the way Joseph walked on those beams during the hoh comp? It’s one of the funniest things i’ve ever seen. He kept his toes pointed out the entire time but was still managing to move fast. If you missed it during the episode, it’s honestly worth going back and checking it out again. It was so funny!

Let’s hope for an entertaining episode tonight and have a great Wednesday!
