Big Brother 26-Mels Wednesday Recap 9/18/24

Hello everyone, Thankfully we’re almost done with Jankie week! I don’t mean to whine and sound like half the hg’s but it’s almost torture. The feeds, as far as game talk, are almost unwatchable. They can’t do as much game talking when they’re together like this and when they do, we can only hear half of it. Sorry if I’ve missed some things this week because of it.

I ended the recap Monday waiting for T’kor to be put up as the replacement for Kimo (Angela’s veto) and assuming Leah wouldn’t use her veto. Monday also began with Chelsie still mad at Cam for cuddling with MJ the night before. He asked her if she’d like to talk and she said maybe later.

When later rolled around, Chelsie complained and said HE needed to come to HER. (I thought he did??) I’ve raised a teenage girl and been one myself. These are the kinds of issues being discussed around that age.

Cam and MJ were talking and wondering why Chelsie had gotten angry the night before. Cam may really be clueless but I don’t think that’s the case with MJ. Remember, Leah gave her a heads up last week about the Cam and Chelsie thing. In her defense tho, when MJ brought that info to Chelselie and asked her about it, Chelsie laughed it off and said it was ridiculous. Maybe MJ is clueless??

Next MJ moved on to Leah to ask her about it too. Leah told her to “leave it” and said if there was friction between Cam and Chelsie, it was better for their game. MJ also brought up wanting T’kor to be the one to leave. Leah agreed said she knew Angela would do it but didn’t know if they could get the 3rd vote. MJ said she could get Cam to do it. (She doesn’t have that kind of control over Cam. He’ll only do it if he wants to do it.) I was at least impressed that MJ was finally going to push for a move that benefited herself instead of Chelsie.

I have a hard time figuring out Leah with MJ. One minute, I think Leah is gullible and has gone back to trusting her. The next minute, I think she hasn’t. She lied to MJ about Angela and the veto situation. She made it sound to MJ, she’d tried hard to prevent Angela from using it. (She didn’t) I don’t think she trusts MJ fully but she doesn’t have a lot of options and… she likes to talk.

Meanwhile, there was a T’kor, Chelsie and Rubina convo about Cam. Chelsie complained about the usual and T’kor doesn’t think Cam’s had their backs. They all agreed Cam didn’t try hard enough to win the hoh comp. (Cam- almost 10 hours, T’kor-28 minutes)

Angela got emotional holding a teddy bear and talking about her grandkids.

She even got a rare hug from T’kor, who told her she was a great mom and grandmother. This surprised me since Rubina and T’kor spent most of the night complaining about Angela and Leah being terrible people.

Kimo danced, sang and had a good morning. He didnt care about the Chelsie drama or anything else. He knew he was about to come off the block!

The veto meeting was VERY late on Monday. (They told Leah in the DR, they needed to wait for the light to change before they filmed it) This meant T’kor and Rubina had the entire day to put in some work and change their situation. If both vetoes were used, Rubina and Kimo could both come off the block. If T’kor spoke to Leah again, maybe she wouldn’t have to go up at all.

T’kor and Rubina had more important things to deal with tho. There was a whole song and dance routine that needed to be created and practiced for Kimo’s birthday.

This is just as Ticor was about to fall after one of her dance spins:

T’kor is annoying with her ‘holier than thou’ attitude in the game but personally, she’s funny to watch. She’s awkward, uncoordinated and pretty funny. She’s 23 but dresses, talks and acts like a little old lady. (She amuses me)

As for more important things than getting off the block, Rubina needed to cut up a Jankie World shirt in order to make herself a custom one. (Not saying it wasn’t cute but unless you need something to wear to jury, maybe it could’ve waited):

Angela and MJ talked about T’kor being a bigger threat. (Trying to feel each other out) Angela reads MJ wrong. Leah has some loyalty to Angela but MJ has none. She just doesn’t realize it because MJ used a veto on her.

Leah talked to Chelsie about the same thing. Leah was more vague when talking to Chelsie. They just both agreed T’kor was a big threat and kind of left it hanging there.

With no one planning to campaign to Leah, she had plenty of time to play with her toys, blow bubbles and make her barbie a new outfit. (T’kor and Rubina were pissed when Leah asked for Rubinas scraps from her shirt) Leah also styled Barbies hair to match hers:

She tried to chop ice for snowcones with an immersion blender. It didn’t go that well. Ice flew everywhere but hey, she tried:

T’kor and Rubina were especially upset with Leah for having the nerve to decorate for Kimo’s birthday.:

They said as his friend, they should do it. They decided they couldn’t work with Leah so they stayed in bed:

There was also some talk between them about how the season would be in vain if a good person didn’t win. Rubina wanted to show people that you could be a good person and still win the game. (I don’t think anyone in this house is a bad person) She gave herself another pat on the back for not throwing Chelsie under the bus this week.

T’kor said she didn’t know if she could fake being nice to Leah or Angela. They said they really wanted a F2 with two women for the first time. (Wouldn’t be the 1st or the 2nd or even the 3rd time) This is a recap, not a live feed update, so I’m not going through all these silly convos. Here’s a summary from their perspective:

T’kor and Rubina know how to play the game. Leah and Angela don’t know how to play the game. T’kor and Rubina are good players and people if they put Angela and Leah on the block. Leah and Angela are bad people if they put T’kor and Rubina on the block. (Got it? Hope that clears it up)

Don’t get me wrong, I have a heart. They became super close and I’m sure it makes them sad to be separated. Take your day to lay in bed and feel sorry for yourself. You can even say you want to go home and don’t want to go to jury. That’s all part of working through the process and being disappointed that one of you is about to lose the game. (Have your moment, but then get your ass out of bed and get to work)

Cam and Chelsie finally had their talk. Cam appeared genuinely confused and partly because Chelsie wouldn’t be direct with him. It took a while for her to get the the point. Finally, she told him he’d been warned that the cuddling would put a target on his back. (She tries to make it only about game. If it was, wouldn’t it be a good think if he and MJ were seen as the duo, insted of Cam and Chelsie?) He said he was just trying to fit in and also mentioned being the butt of her jokes all the time. She apologized for the jokes, said she’d lay off them and he agreed to be more aware of the cuddling. Nothing was said from either of them about it being personal. (I’m sorry, but I’m even more convinced, this relationship is in Chelsie’s head) Regardless, they made up but there’s still some tension.

The veto meeting finally happened and as predicted, Angela used her veto to save Kimo and Leah didn’t use the Jankie Veto.

Leah is officially the only hg not to be nominated. (I have a feeling that’ll change soon)

MJ got to work on Rubina. MJ doesn’t like her but she’s learned to fake it with people better than she did earlier in the season. She told Rubina she wanted her to stay and threw Leah under the bus a little. (Wasn’t hard since Rubina can’t stand Leah)

Side Note:

Before I move on to Tuesday, this is exactly what I was talking about before Leah made her noms. Since MJ doesn’t have to put in work for Chelsie to stay against T’kor, she’s free to put in work for next week. Both trios can still live each other and Leah is the bad guy. It’s the same for Kimo and Cam. Leah IS sort of breaking the game open by putting T’kor otb so I’ll give her that….as long as T’kor is the one to go. These noms are like cracking open a door that you might have a chance to walk through. T’kor and Chelsie against each other could’ve ripped the door off the hinges.

By Tuesday, there was some real momentum for T’kor to go. Leah already had MJ and Angela so they needed one more vote. Leah talked to Cam about it.

On Monday, I remember thinking, Leah has the ammo needed to possibly sway Cam. (MJ thinks she does, but it’s Leah) She needed to tell Cam about T’kor trying to get him put on the block this week if Angela used the veto. I also remember thinking, this cast is strategically weak so I didn’t see her doing it. I was only listening to the feeds on Tuesday (while doing my real job) and shocker, I heard Leah telling Cam all about it. She also said T’kor pushed the girls alliance and was ready to evict Kimo.

Surprisingly, Cam agreed with her. I was only surprised because Cam’s ideal final 3 has been with Chelsie and T’kor for a long time. (Terrible plan for him) Cam also talked about possibly letting Kimo know how easily T”kor was willing to let him go this week. (I don’t see them getting Kimo’s vote. Lol)

Angela, who’s always pretty direct, talked to Rubina and actually lit a fire under her ass. She told Rubina to get to work and said she wanted her to stay. No joke, Rubina turned into a different person yesterday. She spoke to several people, pled her case and even said T’kor was a threat to win the game.

They’re still besties but Rubina remembered why she was there. During a talk with MJ, it’s what she said. She said she loved T’kor but she came into the house alone. MJ said Agela and Leah both wanted her to stay too. She also told Rubina that Chelsie wanted her to go. (MJ’s not above throwing anyone under the bus. Haha)

Rubina said she was hurt by Kimo too. She said he was pretty much already telling her goodbye. (Trio Troubles??)

Chelsie was distracted most of the day. (Boy issues) She either wasn’t around or she sat awkwardly close to MJ and Cam but without talking to them. (Chelsie gets migraines so that may have been an issue too, no idea)

Chelsie’s back to lumping Leah in with the Cam cuddling. That hasn’t happened since week 2 or 3, and they didn’t really cuddle as much as flirt. Right in time….Leah’s power is over…..so it’s time for Chelsie to start making her a target again.

I can’t blame her because Leah is already hinting to MJ and Cam about Chelsie needing to go soon too. (This will probably get back to Chelsie)

When Chelsie finally snapped out of her isolating, she told T’kor she’d be fine this week. She said Cam would vote for her to stay too. Almost at the same time, MJ was telling Rubina that Cam wanted Rubina to stay.

MJ checked in on Chelsie to make sure she was good. She’d been rounding up votes but probably didn’t want to fill in Chelsie on it just yet. Eventually, Chelsie talked to Cam, he said the votes were there to take out T’kor and Chelsie didn’t put up a fight. (I’d been curious what would happen)

Everyone sat around in a group twelling stories and having a good time. (As much as you can when half of you dont like each other) Leah talked with out taking a breathe for who knows how long.

T’kor and Rubina performed their song and dance for Kimos birthday.

The did great and Kimo loved it. BB even flashed the staged lights to help them out. They brought Kimo on the stage to help them finish with the ending.

Ki.o, T’kor and Rubina talked more about having the best social games in the house. At one time they did, but you’re not playing the best games if all three of you have landed on the block in the same week. (Just sayin’)

I wouldn’t have thought it at the start of the week but it looks like T’kor could be heading to jury. She really has had the best social game all season. It may have held up longer if she’d stayed a duo. Once they became a trio and didnt try to hide it, everything kind of changed.

I’ve also realized, I may have given her too much credit this season for her social game. It’s because it isn’t actually part of her game and she doesn’t socialize with that many people. Everyone just likes her alot. That’s not game or intentional, it’s just something that happened naturally.

We’ll still have to wait for today to see if Chelsie was bluffing yesterday. She sounded ok with T’kor going but that’s so bad for her game. It’s the opposite of last week when Quinn leaving was good for her but almost no one else. Cam insisted so Chelsie backed down and accidentally fell into the right move.

T’kor leaving is good for alot of them but not Chelsie. She needs her there because T’kor has her back more than Kimo or Rubina. T’kor is also the best shield Chelsie could have for the next week or two. She already has MJ and Cam to take her out for her. This is why I thought Chelsie would fight for her to stay. (guess not)

T’kor talked to Chelsie about needing to talk to Leah so we’ll see if she does. It’s a little late since she’s already on the block and Leah doesn’t vote. Maybe today will be interesting since both noms have finally decided to campaign to stay.

Obviously, everyone’s standing will depend on who’s evicted on Thursday and who wins the next hoh. For now, this is how I see the week.

Kimo won but only a little. He’s still a lot of peoples main target heading next week.

Chelsie could’ve won huge but if she let’s T’kor go without a fight, she’s lost a bit. She’s still positioned well, just not as good as she could be. She needs to forget the relationship stuff and gain back control of Cam and MJ.

Angela is probably in the same spot as before. Using a veto, shaking up the game and having another comp win could maybe help her if she finds her way to the F2. She’s still going to be a pawn and a target soon but for now, she isn’t being talked about as much.

Cam has improved alot. He didn’t do anything the first month but after he went otb, he started playing the game. It’s subtle but he’s definitely playing. I actually think he may have lowered his target this week. Most of the women and Kimo may target each other before they focus on Cam.

MJ is the big winner this week. She has Chelsie on one side, Leah on the other, Angela not wanting to target her AND now she may have bought herself some time with Rubina too. (MJ’s snake game is paying off for now) I found it funny that she told Leah they needed to take out floaters. MJ’s game is the definition of floating. (The real floating, not the insult)

Leah will either have a semi win if T’kor leaves or a huge fail if Rubina goes. Both of them will target Leah as soon as they can and MJ’s stepped in to pick up the pieces Leah possibly could’ve had for herself with different noms. Let’s just say she really needs her girl Ang to win the next hoh!

As for T’kor and Rubina, we’ll have to wait and see which of these 2 wins and loses this week. The episode tonight better be good since we’ve had to put up with horrible audio to get the footage! Have a great Wednesday.
