Big Brother 27 – Dusting Off The Site
Good evening, everyone!
I haven’t said that in 9 months and it feels weird, not going to lie.
I am off to a super late start this season, and rather than give a bunch of excuses, the truth is my full-time job is a web developer, and over the past year, it has been burning me out from even wanting to be on my computer at night, let alone code. Which is a bummer because I had so many plans for the off-season that I didn’t even start. So, in the future, rather than make false promises, I am going to just code when I can and release when I can. Fortunately, sitting here on the computer listening to the live feeds and working on the site generally re-sparks my interest in coding, so I am hoping that happens again this year.
Further, after doing this since Big Brother 13, I am looking to take more time off this summer so I am once again looking for feed-updaters. I am praying Hillary returns, but I would also like more updaters for overnights as I am dealing with this insane burnout. I want my focus this season to be on the site to give people a better user experience as much as I can provide. More on that later though. But if you are interested in updating feeds, contact me.
Back to the important stuff, Big Brother 27. Oh boy, there is a lot and I will go into it more throughout the week. I have a lot to catch up on, but I feel tomorrow will be the cast reveal as I believe it has been the Monday before the show starts. I know this because I’m usually in a company meeting when they reveal it so I’m ignoring the meeting while updating the cast.
It seems as if 5 cast members have been leaked, but I haven’t had time to vet that yet to ensure that is accurate and at this point it doesn’t matter because cast is probably tomorrow (Monday).
There seem to be a ton of twists (as usual) but we may get into weird territory. There are speculations on a BB spinoff called ‘unlocked’, and if that really is the case, this season will be unusual because they are going to really lean into whatever that spinoff ends up being. They may actually create the entire theme of the season around that spin-off theme. Again, IF the rumors are true about a spin-off.
But tonight, I am just dusting off the site. Updating plugins. Tomorrow, I will double check the billing thing to allow ad-free again. I will also likely be doing cast reveal. Big day!
