Big Brother 27 – Opening Night Episode 2 Discussion! The Return of Rachel
Good evening, everyone!
This season feels a bit weird because they opened on a Thursday and then won’t start the feeds until tonight, so I have been a bit thrown off, but what else is new.
The last few days, I have been working on cranking out bug fixes, and while I am pretty sure I cleared up the issue of the page not updating, there may still be some with older phones and such that are still seeing the older info. The best way to see the latest content is to register and log in (it’s free) and that usually gives you the latest post. The site receives a lot of traffic, so it is pretty heavily cached, and I am working on a balance between having a fast site but also an updated site. Doesn’t matter how fast it is if people see old information.
Alright, so let’s talk about this season. The twists (so far) are:
- Rachel enters the house as the 17th houseguest
- There was an ‘accomplice’ who had the chance to be evicted on night one if caught.
- Battle of the block returns where 3 people enter an eviction night comp and 1 exists safe from the block. Julie said this is a season-long thing this time, which means it’ll last until the last few houseguests are in the house (I’d guess 5-6).
Alright, let’s talk about the accomplice. If they were figured out on the first night, they were gone. This leads me to believe that they were given tasks; otherwise, it makes no sense to have them guess. we’ll likely see what those were tonight, and see if any of the guessers on the Facebook page were right.
People were looking for things like the bulge in Amy’s jeans (likely mic pack), or Captain Mike pressing something against the wall, etc. Many good guesses, and I hope someone actually did do something and it was shown on the screen, otherwise, that twist will start off flat. Imagine telling them to find the person but that person didn’t actually have to do anything to risk being caught?
Anyway, show is on fairly soon so I am going to post this and make sure updates are all still working properly.
Followers noticed she had something in her pocket! They were right. She had a remote that turned the HOH relic down!
My guess is she’ll be like America’s Houseguest and complete tasks for prizes
but they also cannot be nominated this week.

Jimmy gets – To pick 3 people out of a house who don’t want to win HoH to play in that comp
Zach gets – $10k, which he can ‘buy’ his safety if he’s ever in danger of going home before jury (one-time use, and he keeps the money if he doesn’t use)
Between this and Rachel, Jimmy is not having a good start to the season #bb27
