Big Brother 27-Recap for Thursday, July 24th

Good morning everyone, It’s a new Big Brother week and there’s a new HOH but first, let’s go over yesterday, last nights episode and the eviction.

Rachel made one more push yesterday trying to keep Amy. Mickey was honest with her and said she just couldn’t keep her this time.

Rylie got a little touchy feeling with Katherine. He gave her hug.

And another long hug.

He also touched her butt during this one. (I get Caleb/Amber vibes from this situation) She told him the compliments didn’t bother her but I wonder if the butt rub does?

Adrian kept up his campaigning.

Morgan and Vince went over who to keep between Amy and Adrian and how long to keep Rachel and Jimmy in the game. (Vinny was never keeping Amy) They both want Rachel to make jury but thats it. (Morgan means it but I don’t know about Vinny) Morgan also brought up how she doesn’t think Zach wants a shomance with Lauren. She thinks it’s just the house talk pressuring for it to happen. (Sure Jan)

Vince said Zach was taking it slow but he does think Zach likes Lauren. (Not the 1st person to tell her this)

The hg’s agreed to wear pink for the live show at Jimmy’s request. The nominees didn’t and I wouldn’t have either if I were them.

Mickey gave Ashley some advice (again) and suggested she talk less and listen more.

Julie’s doing the Block Buster comps in advance again this year. It’s cool we’ll get to see them before Thursday night. (She did it pretty fast too, go Lemon Drop!!)

It was similar to Tucker’s “I love puzzles” puzzle last year during week 2. After seeing Julie do it, you just kind of knew it was going to be Adrians comp to lose. That was a correct assumption because Adrian beat both Amy and Will. It didn’t hurt that both Will and Amy were moving at the speed of molasses pouring.

With the first (and hopefully only) unanimous vote of the season, Amy was evicted. On Amy’s way out, she told the others that Jimmy was a snake and not to trust him.

Unrelated, but once again, another questionable clothing choice from Rachel. I know a lot of people are sick of Jimmy but I don’t want him to go yet. I have fun listening to him give Rachel shit by saying her close are ugly and she doesn’t have any taste. (In her defense, she takes it really well)

Doesn’t this dress just scream prom 1980? (I mean, the gloves alone are something before you even get to the dress)

This season is going to be fun doing these recaps. Between Ava’s facial expressions and Rachel’s wardrobe, lots of fun screenshot for me. (Yeah me!)

I was a bit surprised neither Rachel nor Ashley gave Amy a sympathy vote but do I care? No.

Amy got to hear her good bye messages and even one from the mastermind.

(Shit like this is why I can’t ask my friends to give BB a try!)

There was also a quick segment with Derrick and Taylor promoting the new show that starts tonight. Initially, I felt like this was going to be similar to the dumb recap episode but I’m gonna keep an open mind. First, I think Derrick and Taylor could do well together because he’s more of a casual tv viewer and she’s up on the feeds. They’ll kind of balance each other out. Second, Taylor’s described it as sort of like Sportscenter for Big Brother. Check it out, who knows, we may like it!

Before I get to the new HOH, Ashley told Zach about Morgan crushing on him. He pretended to be surprised. He flirts with her too so he already knew. He also confirmed (again) he likes Lauren.

The way Ashley put it was that Morgan was in love with him. She said she couldn’t even get a chance to talk to him because Morgan’s always around him. (Me thinks Ashley likes him a little bit too) Keep in mind, Morgan thinks she’s working closely with Ashley. (Ashley’s fun to watch be cause she spills EVERYTHING!) Ashley suggested Zach talk to Morgan about it but he’s afraid it might hurt his game. (See, he’s playing her too. Zack knows what he’s doing) Also, Ashley is NOT taking Mickeys advice!

The hoh comp sounded like it was some kind of questions about videos type comp and the new hoh is…..Lauren! She doesn’t look thrilled about it, does she?

Vinny and Jimmy were both quick to offer advice to Lauren. (or run her hoh)

Zach gave her a hug. (His hugs aren’t like Rylie’s hugs tho)

For now, Lauren plans to nominate Keanu, Kelley and maybe Will. She’s in the Bond alliance with Will, but said she’s never talked any game with him. Adrian, who is also in this alliance said he didn’t think it was a good idea. He said one of the votes they might need this week shouldn’t be someone sitting on the block. (Yes, I agree with Adrian)

Ava wasn’t happy with this plan. She and Lauren have a secret final 2 they call the Bond girls. I’m not saying it’s real because Lauren also has a secret final 2 with Vinny and Vinny has a secret final 2 with half the house. (So far, I don’t believe any of them are real except for Kelley and Vinny and that one’s only real to Kelley)

Lauren told Vinny she liked Kelley and wouldn’t mind working with her. Vinny told Lauren about Kelley volunteering to go up during his hoh. He said she might be okay volunteering again. She also said she wouldn’t mind Ashley going otb. They talked about people not suspecting they were working together.

Rachel, Mickey and Morgan talked about how to move forward together in the game. I actually think Amy leaving may be good for Rachel. It could appear she has less pull in the house since she couldn’t sway the vote. Morgan and Mickey are way better allies too.

Mickey also chatted with Ava. It was a nice conversation and she told Ava, she wished she’d had her shit together and knew who she was as well as Ava does at her age.

Lauren and Katherine talked a big game a few days ago about going after Morgan, Mickey, Rachel and Ashley but it looks like she may keep things safe and go after a house target. (Keanu) I don’t think this is a good move for her game. She’s not really on Keanu’s radar because he’s obsessed with taking out Rachel, Morgan and maybe Ashley. I’m expecting Keanu and Jimmy to have another fight and when that happens, Jimmy will get put back on his target list too.

I think this move is about as smart as Morgan and Mickey wanting to keep Adrian over Amy. (In Morgan’s defense, she worked even harder than Rachel to keep Amy this week) I don’t fault Mickey as much as Morgan because Mickey talked to Adrian alot more this week. I think she’s looking at it like her group may not be safe with an Adrian HOH but she thinks she will be and she may be right. She may also be wrong because Zach has convinced Adrian that Mickey has the last power. (We all know how Adrian hates a liar) Adrian also told Mickey he’d put Morgan on the block.

Going after Keanu is a safe move this week as far as pissing off the house but is it that safe? There was talk last week about tryig to backdoor him the next time. Maybe things could get interesting if Keanu comes off the block.

Last weeks have nots got to pick the new ones. Mickey chose Jimmy (She’s still annoyed with him over his hoh, haha) and Rachel picked Katherine.

Rachel had considered doing it again for a 3rd week because she’s trying to lose weight but probably a good decision to pass on it.

Other people had their one on ones with Lauren. Rachel told her not to let Jimmy or Vince try to take it over. She said she needed to do what was best for her own game.

Kelley volunteered to go on the block as a pawn again. (shocker!) Lauren told Zach she wanted to put Ashley up but thought Ashley would hold it against her. (No shit, anyone should) Surprisingly, Zach didn’t initially agree with putting Ashley up. (Amy and Ashley were the main 2 he wanted out)

Keanu suggested Ashley and Morgan as noms. Ava suggested Rachel go up. (So much for that F2 proposal yesterday from Rachel to Ava)

After talking with Lauren, Ava told Will she thinks either she or Will may go up as a pawn. They both said it didn’t make any sense and thinks it’s stupid. Will said he’s ready to find a new alliance. Ava said the whole reason to have an alliance is so they can protect each other. (Yes, yes and yes)

After a group chat with Lauren, Zach, Vinny and Adrian, Adrian told Lauren he doesn’t trust Vinny. He wants them to kick him out of the group. (The only people that have been onto Vinny have been Rachel and Ashley but now I guess we can include Adrian too)

Elissa, Rachel’s sister, posted a video of herself balancing on one foot while holding a syringe. The caption read “Fratzel could never” (Not gonna lie, it was weird but she DOES have good balance, I’ll giver her that much) I guess she doesn’t like Nicole and didn’t like Nicole’s name coming up as a future guest on Derrick and Taylors show. I ran across this the other day and thought it was funny. I’ve always said, BB fans should work for the FBI. They can find out anything:

Adrian yesterday: “I don’t think they do live feeds today.”

Jimmy: “I’m going to call you all the time and you’re going to get so annoyed with me.”

Rachel: “There’s a good chance I won’t answer.”

Mickey: “You told everyone I threw up.”

Ashley: “No I didn’t. They asked if you were sick and I said you threw up.”

Mickey: “Kelley said she thinks Adrian has a crush on her.”

Ava: “Ok, now we’re just saying shit.”

Even if Lauren doesn’t make the most optimal move for her game this week, I think winning this hoh could help her in the same way Adrian going on the block may end up helping him. Both of them have been too quiet and were avoiding alot of game talk before now. I could have seen the game starting to pass both of them by. I think Adrian’s going to continue talking more game because he was forced to the past couple of days. (Sometimes you just need a kick in the ass to get going) Since he didn’t go home, going otb may have been the beat thing for him. I think the same thing could happen with Lauren and being hoh. She’s been hesitant to talk game but this week, she’ll have no choice.
