Big Brother 27-Recap for Wednesday, July 16th

Yesterday was mostly a scramble for votes and I like how hard they’re playing. On many seasons, they don’t put that much work into the week 1 boot. (Yeah, I know, many of them aren’t good players but if they arn’t playing well, I’ll at least take them playing hard.) Besides, it’s fun watching the newbies learn HOW to play and see if they can learn before they’re evicted. (Looking at you Kelley)

I have to mention the episode before I get into the feeds. (Sorry, this one may lean a bit fashion heavy) For starters, loved Ashley’s dress. She looked so pretty:

It probably sucked for Kelley to not have much of a moment when she went on the block but who cares? She volunteered for it:

That’s because Jimmy needed to have his moment:

I think Jimmy did better during his rehearsals because he messed up his sunglasses line at the ceremony. (Ava is always so shocked by everything, haha)

I think Jimmy rehearsed TOO much because it definitely came off as rehearsed. That’s why Keanu asking him ‘how long did it take you to to come up with that’ was the actual gotcha moment, not Jimmy’s little speech.

As for the veto comp, it’s not Big Brother if they’re not humiliating the houseguests on tv:

I thought it was interesting to find out Ava helped instigate things between Jimmy and Keanu too. It was going to happen anyway because of Rachel, but it was good to see Ava have some spunk in her.

As for the feeds, other than counting votes, there were a few side plots happening. Ava, Will, Adrian and Zach talked about an alliance a few days ago. Zach wanted to pull in Vince and Lauren and they made it official. It’s called the Bond. (Like James Bond)

They had a meet up time scheduled in the hoh room. Ava, Adrian and Will were on time and while they waited, Ava went off about Keanu and Kelley.

She doesn’t like Kelley at all and she’s pretty sick of Keanu too. Ava’s feisty!

She also danced in the storage room and sang about having an alliance. This new alliance doesn’t plan to vote together tonight so that’s interesting. Haha

Meanwhile, Morgan talked to Katherine and got her to confirm she’s keeping Amy. (Katherine, Ava, Will and Lauren were basically gonna decide the eviction and they knew it)

Jimmy finally got Ashley to agree to evict Zae if the have the chance. (more on that later)

Amy did her own campaigning yesterday instead of Rachel doing it for her. She talked to Vince about breaking a tie in her favor. He sounded to her like he would. (He won’t)

They also got dressed up for dinner. I think it was Wills wedding anniversary or something. Morgan getting ready:

Keanu, Zae and Zach got dressed up too. I think it was for a golf tournament tho.

There was more checking in and counting votes throughout the day. Even tho Ava, Will and Adrian are a bit of a trio, Ava said she was keeping Amy but Adrian wants to keep Zae.

Will was torn but after another chat with Kelley, he laughed and told Ava, Kelley could go. (He thinks Kelley is nuts) He found out she said she might throw the Blockbuster comp. (Kelley’s denied it and also denied volunteering to go otb) Will has a harder decision because he’s in more alliances than Ava and he’s trying to cover himself.

He’s in the Bond and the Burger Boys but he’s also working with Mickey and Morgan, who want Amy to stay.

Side Note about Kelley: She told Vince sometimes her boyfriend has to peer pressure her into brushing her teeth!

(That’s insane to me!)

Rylie has told all 3 nominees he’s voting to keep them. (I don’t hate it. I mean, the one you lied to will be gone so, who cares?) Unfortunately for Rylie, he’s pissing off his alliances a little bit tho. Both the heavy hitters and the burger boys arn’t happy about Rylie saying he doesn’t want to win comps. If he isn’t going to try to win anything, his only value is a vote.

I don’t think Rylie cares because he’s got bigger things on his mind. He had an uncomfortable conversation with Katherine telling her some things were worth more than 750k, (meaning her) said he would try to keep her safe and that she’ll have to deal with the way he feels about her. He also said if he wins the HOH, she is the only person who will be allowed in the room.

Katherine didn’t have much to say. (I hope we don’t have another BB16 about to happen)

The cast swimsuit photo was released. I think it’s hilarious Ava is wearing socks:

After working on votes all day, it was looking pretty good for Amy. She got Ava and Katherine which she needed but Lauren told her she hadn’t decided yet. (If Amy stays, it’s mostly due to Rachel, Morgan and Jimmy, unless she wins the blockbuster comp) They’ve put in alot of work to get these votes.

Ashley worked on Lauren trying to get her to keep Amy too but then she had a chat with Zae. Ashley told Jimmy she’d evict Zae over Kelley but I don’t think she means it. Either that or Zae did a really good job campaigning to her and she changed her mind. (He actally did do a decent job with her)

Ashley may be wanting to keep Zae now. He has her convinced he will go after her allies, but not her. He also told her Zach may put her otb and she was surprised by that news.

Ashley is definitely one of the ones who’s lying about knowing the show. Aside from it being dumb for her to keep Zae, she also said two guys never make it to the end together. (Say what now???)

While I’m on this, Rylie thought America picked the winner and Kelley thought 2 people won the Blockbuster comp. (How is that last one even possible?)

Will thinks it’s crazy too:

Lauren and Vince made a final 3 and agreed Zach would be a good 3rd. (Who knows how serious this is since Vince put one of his final 2’s otb this week?) I do think Lauren’s sincere about working with them but doesn’t want to vote in the minority this week.

She told both Zach and Vince she’d decided to keep Amy after Katherine said that’s what she was doing. Lauren said if it could be a tie, she’d vote to keep Zae or Kelley, but it’s not looking like they have the votes. (If Ashely votes with them, they might)

Vince is annoyed that no one he’s working with wants to win the hoh tomorrow. He’s feeling like a sitting duck and vented about it to the cameras while doing his laundry. I have to say, that man can fold! It’s a bad image but his folding skills are impressive. (If he decides to look for a job, retail clothing stores would love him!)

He was saying he doesn’t know why people are so afraid to go against the majority. (This is coming from the man who put up his own alliance in order to keep people from being upset with him)

Rachel and Zae had an arguement??? I guess you can call it that. Zae told her he would potentially put people on the block she’s working with or something like that.

He also said while he was there, she wouldn’t become a two time winner.

Rachel came back with her usual one liners and said not to come for the queen, he might lose his head. (This isn’t word for word) We all know how Rachel is and how she likes to be in an argument and get a good tv moment but how she’s also really bad at arguing. (It’s actually one of the few things I like about her. Its always so awkward and uncomfortable that it’s funny)

She also told him he was acting like a child and offered to make him a sandwich. (He actually wasn’t being childish. Maybe dumb for being so honest but not childish) She also reminded him he was the one on the block. (Now, that one’s true but the argurment won’t factor in to Zae leaving or staying imo)

Later, Rachel told Amy the only person who came to check on her was Ava. She wondered where Morgan and Mickey were after. (Duh, avoiding it!) She said she really needs to win the hoh and worries she won’t be able to compete as well as before.

Keanu wanted a hug after it was all over but Rachel wasn’t feeling it. Haha Actually, everyone is sick of Keanu’s hugs. (I get it. I have a very huggy family, but not everyone does)

Speaking of Keanu, he’s saying he doesn’t want to win this week either because he feels like no one is coming after him anymore. (Most of the house wants him gone) He’s also the winner of the “we’re the good people” award. The only thing he wins is being made fun of by me and he’s officially the first I’ve heard on the feeds say it. He told Vince and Lauren, they were the good people, and Rachel and her group were the bad people. (For the record, I haven’t noticed anyone being the bad people yet)

I think Zae and to a lesser degree Kelley, feel like going after Rachel and making it known may save them. I get it, she’s a returning player so a big target but….what about everything and everyone else? Maybe it will change but so far, I don’t feel like this is a repeat of Paul’s 2nd time in the house. Rachel doesn’t have a cult following.

Even the people working with Rachel are quietly whispering about when and how to take her out. There’s also already more than one alliance that’s mostly made up of men.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but if i’m a Lauren, Katherine, Ashley, Ava, etc., I might be a little hesitant to go after Rachel until some of those guys are taken out. (It’s what Morgan and Mickey and possibly Jimmy are doing) Plus, Rachel is a big target in front of them.

Granted, the comps have been getting a bit more equitable the past 2 seasons but I still don’t trust it to last. I’m going to be wanting to take out some of those young athletic guys before I make a move on Rachel.

Now if I’m Rachel, I’m wanting to do that too, except I’d be trying to get in pretty tight with at least one of them. If she doesn’t have the comp skills she used to, she’s going to need a couple of comp winners on her side. Its not going to be Amy. (She said that herself)

It’s looking more like Amy may stay but Ashley could possibly prevent it with her vote if she forces a tie. Lauren may also flip back if she thinks they can tie the vote. Regardless of who leaves, tonight’s the first live show so I’m excited for it!
