Big Brother 27 – Week 4 Awards

Welcome to the Weekly Awards (thinking of name). It was a pretty fun week and certainly one people will remember as Mickey was given a free week to just easily pick someone on the other side of the house off, but decided to make a mess out of it. And to think, she was just named player of the week last week.
This week I really only had three people in mind for player of the week, and facebook helped me decide. Vinnie had a pretty good week as he was able to save himself, but the target on his back grew more and more. Morgan also had a pretty good week as she was able to dictate the replacement nom, but many saw that as a blunder because it was her side of the house she ended up going after.
So, my choice became clear…
Player of the Week
Keanu

With another veto win under his belt, the house is quickly starting to fear him and also consider working with him as a shield which should actually buy him a few more weeks in the house. It looked like he was doomed, but now his chair has gotten a bit more comfortable. Is he safe? Not really. But there is far more incentive to work with him now and keep him around than there is to get rid of him.
Plus, with Kelley still in the house, she’ll likely be the main target until she’s gone.

Comeback Player of the Week
Keanu

I mean this is a no-brainer. You can’t go from having basically the worst season to winning player of the week and not be a comeback player as well. Although, this award may be a curse as Jimmy is gone and Vince is a big target

Under the Radar of the Week
Lauren

Lauren spent a week as HoH and lost her streak, but was able to brilliantly slip back into the role of being an under the radar player. As Will pointed out, she’s very well insulated now and there is nothing he can even do about it. She’s not floating by as she is involved in a lot of game talk, but she’s always more of a fly in the room. She is well-liked by the entire house, and many are talking about her making top 4, and it wouldn’t shock me.

Floater of the Week
Katherine

Last week, I gave this to the combo of Katherine and Rylie, but we all know he won HoH, lost it, got nominated, and quickly became a force in the house. Dominated the Blockbuster comp and is become a feared competitor. Meanwhile, his partner in crime literally just avoided the block because he campaigned for her and is just kind of floating week to week now. She may just keep floating in Rylie’s shadow until he’s evicted and then they will turn on her but this shadow riding will likely pick her up a few more weeks.

Worst Week
Mickey

It is surprisingly easy to have a bad week as the HoH because if the week doesn’t go smoothly, you can go from top to bottom really quick and that is what it feels happened to Mickey.
She won player of the week last week, stole the HoH, and had a chance to put her foot on the throat of the other side, but blundered it and got out an ally. On top of that, she continues to talk down to her remaining allies like Ashley, and no matter what Rylie says, he’s not going to forget she stole the HoH.
I should say ‘talk down to’ because if you notice, every time they are together lately, Mickey has more of a condescending tone to Ashley. She lectures her often, and sometimes it may be warranted, and I do understand that she is trying to teach Ashley in the process, but I just feel that’s going to come back on her in the end.
