Big Brother Reindeer Games – Episode 4

Good evening, everyone!

Sorry for missing the post on Thursday. I was feeling pretty bad on Tuesday, but was able to get through the show and post. However, I kept feeling worse and worse, and by Thursday I took a covid test and sure enough, positive. I was trying to make a post to chat about the show, but I just couldn’t get out of bed by the time the show started. It was bad. This was my third time catching it because apparently that virus loves me, and this was easily the worst I felt.

I did watch the episode, however, and I’m going to say I absolutely love the competitions this season. I really wish they would do more of this on the regular season. That was some ‘Squid Games’ type of stuff where you win safety, pick the first person who picks the next, and each time it reduces by a minute! Just fantastic. Sure, they went a little dramatic with Britney acting like it was real Squid Games and she was about to get eliminated, but the mental aspect of that comp was just genius.

It’s sad to see Danielle go, though. But overall I’m impressed with how they managed to have a ton of comp beasts in the show, yet handle the competitions in such a way where anyone was vulnerable. When you saw that cast and heard it was a show largely based on competitions, did you expect Cameron and Cody to be the first two eliminated? No girl was even in danger until the third elimination as if you remember, Cody had to battle X and Frankie while Cameron had to battle X in his.

So, kudos to them so far on being able to handle the comp beast problem by giving them an advantage if they won, but making most of the comps just pure puzzles/challenges/sabotage/etc. The only real physical comps so far have been the hamster wheel (which was also very mental) and the balance beam one which was a sabotage format.

So, who goes home tonight? 6 remain, and it seems as the final ‘Reindeer Games’ will involve 4 people so we have 2 more to go. Let’s hear your thoughts!
