Take Part In Beta Testing BBJ 2.0!

Hey everyone!

I hope you all are having a great winter so far. It is 2026 which means Big Brother is creeping up, but as January rolls around, I typically start getting motivated and prepared for another season, and this year is no different. However, this year is different in one regard, I am launching a brand new site!

Well, not new site. It’s a new build. I have rebuilt the site from the ground up using newer gen technology which will allow me to do a lot of fun things I have planned. I won’t spoil them because I’d rather surprise and deliver rather than promise and disappoint, but I have a ton of stuff in store.

One of the biggest things you’ll notice right away is when you log in, you’ll have the option to use your google sign-in! If it’s your first time, you’ll sign in with google and then it’ll ask you to link your BBJ account and sign in with that. After that, you can just use google.

You will see a lot of small differences between the current live site and the testing site, let me give a list off the top of my head

• Changed the log-in system
• Added all the former players and seasons to DB (still working on finalizing each season)
• Added a notification system so you get updated if someone replies to your comment
• Created a profile setting page so you can turn that off if you want
• Completely overhauled the comment system by rebuilding that and no longer relying on a plugin – However, I did keep a history of the up/down votes so you’re not starting from scratch
• Added a badge system that recognizes contributors (and the top rank is legend which is no joke on getting there. It’s a grind)
• Built a premium settings page so you can easily cancel your premium. I hate sites that hide that so this is very important to me that it’s very easy to cancel.
• The ability to subscribe to posts

Again, this is all just the first major phase which is rebuilding the site the way it is (plus a few features). Once I get this system all set and bug free, I’m going to replace this site (bigbrotherjunkies.com) with it and then start working on more enhancements.

It’s only February, so I have enough time to really get this going.

Also, sorry about no Survivor, TAR threads. I’m also working on a way to expand this site into a multi-show site while ensuring that Big Brother remains top priority. But that’s later on down the road. My goal is to have most of my planned features in place by July and have a multi-show aspect to it by the end of BB28.
