Big Brother 27 – Live Feed Updates 7/20

Good afternoon, everyone!
It’s Sunday in the Big Brother house which means it’ll likely be a fairly chill afternoon as the backyard is open, so they will spend most of the day just relaxing and unwinding after a crazy two days inside the house.
So, while they do that, let’s recap the last few days!
On Thursday, as you know, Kelley won the Blockbuster Competition which sealed the elimination for Zae.
Later on, they had the black box competition where they go through a completely dark area to solve little puzzles and usually the fastest time wins. However, in the box were three items that were also prizes and two of the main targets of the week – Keanu and Kelley – both won a prize with Mickey winning the third.
Keanu’s prize took play right away as he got to have a former houseguest come in and compete with him in a veto comp and if that player won, he won. That person ended up being Kaycee and she won. The thing I am wondering is, was she going to show up to the studio every week in the event he decided to use it (until it expired)? And the way it sounds is that the comp was built for someone like her with her abilities. So, now I’m wondering if they had different people in mind for whatever comp was going to happen.
What I mean is, let’s say they have the Squid Games style bridge puzzle that Tucker dominated. Would he have been on call that week? Or still Kaycee?
Moving on, Kelley won a prize where she can ‘earn’ her veto. This is making a lot of people think of the Kaitlyn and Leah situation, where they play a super-easy solo comp and if they pass, they win. Probably not the greatest examples as both actually lost their comps, but they were both incredibly easy in theory. Kaitlyn’s was almost so easy that you wondered if there was more to it.
Finally, Mickey won an HoH takeover style where she can replace the HoH nominees. However, if she uses it, the HoH has then 3 minutes to question everyone in the house (each) and if the HoH correctly guesses who it was, the takeover is invalid.
I like that. All three comps require something more than just a nice prize. Even though odds lean heavily on the people completing the tasks, they CAN still fail which strips their power. I mean it wasn’t a guarantee that Kaycee won the comp. Sure, she had an advantage, but not a guarantee.
With Keanu and Kelley both nominated, it’s almost certain that 2/3 of the prizes will be taken out of play this week, and Jimmy may look at his HoH as a failure, that’s probably the best case. In Survivor, if you know someone has the hidden idol, you try to flush it out asap so they can’t pull it out when you least expect it.
So, chin up, Jimmy. You unknowingly made a good move
Short term safety
So he came inside to get his water and she started back on him. They went back and forth a bit and she told him not to f with her because she always wins
All these people in recent seasons play too nice
Ava says she will try to get Rylie into their alliance
Goal being Rachel as a target – Could lead to a Morgan or Ashley alternates
He’s trying to assure his bond with Rylie to make sure Katherine/Lauren don’t come after him. Rylie says “Well yes, but also, you should talk to them at some point too”
That Jimmy basically lucked into a good move this week by flushing out 2/3 powers. But that wasn’t his intention
Looks like everyone’s enjoying some non-game time
