Big Brother 28-Recap for Tuesday, 7/14/26

Good morning everyone! On the surface, the past couple of days could be seen as calm with the kumbaya of denim jorts, dancing and a birthday celebration, but the cast has also started to form groups and find targets.

Yesterday, we even had two alliances kind of merge into one in order to accomplish their goal this week. I think there was some confusion when I posted on Monday so let me clarify the way my recaps work. I’ll do a recap on Monday Wednesday and Friday. I’m mostly recapping about the day before but will include things from a day or two back if its relevant. The recaps also includes SPOILERS. (You”ve been warned) Before I get into the gaming talk, here’s some random stuff…

Lala got a small birthday basket and the hgs had a celebration for her.

Drew told Dee he didn’t like Lala because she wears a bikini and high heels atound the house. (I’m assuming it’s because of her age. Hey, I just switched from a bikini to a one piece last summer and I’m her age so suck it Drew. For the record, I’m in flip flops, not high heels)

Haley is auditioning for the role of house hair stylist. This is a look she gave Barrett. (I’m pretty sure I rocked this hairstyle for a brief time in the early 80s)

He looks better with the mohawk buns in my opinion.

I think this is Lyric asleep at the table. I guess showmancing all night really takes it out of you, huh?

As for the important house activity, there’s quite a bit going on so let’s start with the nominees. Yash finally realized it wasn’t a given he would stay this week if he loses the blockbuster comp. He put down the lipstick and started doing some campaigning. He convinced Kamu he would be a shield and he has the one thing he needed to meet Kamu’s criteria. He’s a bro.

Kamu is worried about having more women in the house than men. Yash was also convincing Melody and Mallory to keep him. Since Rome said he is tight with Yash and Rome is with Lyric, they figured he could help go after the vets and the Red Corner. (Haley, Chuk and Kamu) They’re also pretty convinced Dee is working with them and they’re not wrong, even if its fake.

Taylor didn’t do as much yesterday. She put her time in a couple of days ago, got people to say they would keep her and thats about it. She said people told her she had their vote to stay and she just had to trust it. The most she did yesterday was continue to tell people she’s not there to win, she just wants to make jury. I don’t know if it’s true or if she just thinks it makes her seem like a non threat but either way, it’s annoying.

Ashley finally stepped up too. Her campaigning needs work but at least she’s trying. She’s also limited in what she can say to people because I don’t think she really knows what’s going on in the house yet. She’s mostly going the route of ‘I just need people to work with’ and ‘I’m looking for a home’ kind of thing.

Melody’s started trying to work with Drew but she’s worried he’s working with Dee. (He is) Melody and Mallory have both kind of figured out the Red Corner alliance and the Crossovers, minus Barrett. Drew asked Melody yesterday in front of Dee and Barrett who she was planning to keep this week and she said she felt like she was being set up. She suggested they answer first and I didn’t blame her.

Before I go further, there’s already alot of small alliances but they’re overlapping and not that important at the moment. It’s just a variety of combinations of people that are already hanging out and working together. This is mostly on what I’m calling Rome’s side of the house. Its Rome, Jason, Lyric, Lala, Taylor, Mallory and Melody. They also think they have Drew and Barrett. Rome also thinks he has a thing with Devens and Yash on the side. That’s the first loose group, real or not.

There’s the 2nd group of the Red Corner, which is Kamu, Haley and Chuck. These three think the Red Corner also includes Dee and Devens. Separately, they’ve pulled in Angela so they think they have 6 now, although they aren’t telling Angela about the alliance with Dee and Devens.

Lastly, we have the Crossovers which are Angela, Dee, Devens, Barrett and Drew. For now, this seems to be the true alliance for the vets. (I’m just going with vets, not calling them icons) There are cracks in this one already due to Angela’s paranoia.

If you ignore the small alliances that are forming inside the big ones, this is what the house looks like. It’s Rome’s people versus Kamu’s people with the vets trying to play the middle. The vets are being accurately lumped in with Kamu’s group but they’re working on a Kamu vs Rome strategy. Barrett and Drew are being seen with both everyone and also kind of free agents.

Drew came to Angela and Devens to tell them about his late night talk with Jason. He let them know that Jason was lying to them and actually wanted to target them. This was some pretty important info and it was a sign of trust and allegiance when Drew shared it.

Angela told Devens and Dee she didn’t know if Drew was telling the truth. Angela was being Angela but I also think she didn’t want to believe it because Jason was playing her on something that was personal. It was the same for Devens except he did believe Drew. Basically, Jason had cried to Angela and then talked shit about her to the cameras afterwards. As for Devens, Jason had a plan to make the dessert for Devens daughters bday to make him think they were good. (As for drama, its no Keesha’s bday. Its not even to Rockstars daughters bday levels of drama) There was some talk about how this was below the belt and using personal stuff, etc. (Whatever, its BB) Devens tried to tell Angela it was too detailed to be a lie from Drew.

Later, Devens told Dee they needed to keep an eye on Angela. Angela had already gotten to Dee about being skeptical about Drew. Dee also isn’t too worried about Angela and thinks they can control it. (Ya right!)

Angela (if you’re keeping score) has an issue with Drew, Haley, Lala, Jason and Melody. Obviously Jason is because of the news she recently found out. She thinks Haley is trying to pit her against Lala so they’ll get into it and she’s not wrong. Even though Haley’s doing it because she doesn’t like Lala and wants her out, it’s still kind of correct because Lala doesn’t want Angela in the house. I don’t think Angela specifically said why she doesn’t care for Melody but Melody doesn’t like Angela either so she’s not on the wrong track with that one either. Angela’s really only wrong about Drew but that’s not the issue.

This is Angela we’re talking about so it’s not about if she has the right info. It’s about what she decides to do with it. Angela simply does too much. Honestly, you would think she was the Survivor player. I’ve already mentioned Dee and Devens would have the challenge of the slower pace of BB. Nope, its Angela that has to CONSTANTLY be doing something. She just doesn’t have the ability to let things sit.

Dee found out from Rome that Yash was lying to her. She was under the impression only Mallory would retaliate for putting her on the block. Now she knows that Yash will too. She hasn’t been very opinionated about who to keep this week until yesterday. She’s just been telling people she didn’t have a vote and its to blend back into the background, I’m guessing.

I’m loving the cameras talks we’ve been getting from Dee. It’s stressful to watch when she does it because she’s a loud talker. We’ve gotten some good info but the entire house will too if anyone is outside the bedroom door!

Devens is her number one with Angela a close second. She isn’t worried about Angela’s paranoia and thinks she can talk her through it when it happens. (Haha) She really likes Barrett and also Drew but Angela got in her head a bit about him. She doesn’t like Haley or Chuck at all but knows she needs to stay aligned with them for now. Kamu is the only one of the 3 she would want to actually work with, for now.

Although she doesn’t like Haley, she knows the rest of the house doesn’t either. It’s why she wants her to stick around a while and be a bigger target. Dee is hoping the Kamu group will go against the Rome group, with her sitting in the middle.

Dee and Angela watched the camera from the hoh room yesterday and were convinced there was a big meeting going on in there. They watched who went in and who came out and partly because Drew was in there. They decided they needed to test Drew and see if he told them about what was discussed.

Like I said, Angela’s paranoia about Drew has even gotten to Dee a little bit. They also agreed they were going to stop avoiding each other. They said most of the house is linking them together anyways so avoiding each other is actually making them look more suspicious. (True)

Later, Drew told them everything that was said in the “meeting.” He told them Kamu’s group were keeping Yash no matter who he was up against. (He passed the test, I guess)

Drew has been working on Kamu, Rome, Jason and Melody. He’s in a couple alliances but has told the Crossovers about them. He also told Devens that he saw it as a 3 vs 2 if their group got to the final 5 (the guys vs the girls) and Devens agreed with him.

Hopefully, Angela and Dee don’t push Drew away. Unlike some of these players, Drew has a lot of options. Like, Barrett, most of the house wants to work with him. For now, he really does seem loyal to the Crossovers so for their sake, they shouldn’t screw it up.

Rome warned Devens he should stay away from Kamu, Haley and Chuk. Rome told him people are linking him to their group. Devens said he appreciated it and would distance himself from them more. Rome also gave him advice on getting close to Jason. Rome made it sound like Jason wants to work with Devens but doesn’t know how to approach him. Devens said he would work on it but he knows its bullshit. Devens, like Drew, made the rounds alot yesterday. He’s still trying to develop some personal relationships so people won’t be as sketched out about him being the sneaky guy on Survivor.

Rome, Lyric, Lala and Barrett didn’t have quite as much going on. They talked game too but it was more of the same. Lala thinks Taylor is staying, Rome thinks Yash is staying, even tho he’s letting Lala think he’ll keep Taylor. Barrett was chatting people up, while waiting for his group to meet and make a decision.

Rome and Lyric both somehow think they have everyone fooled. They don’t think anyone is aware of the showmance. (The entire house is aware)
Lyric sneaking out of Romes bed:

Rome is already doing his own thing with side relationships. Lyric, Mallory and Melody talk alot about forming alliances. They have suggestions for who they want in it and Melody even has ideas about who the big alliance should be and who the core of it should be. They’re making the mistake a lot of new players make where they spend two weeks planning it instead of actually doing it.

After a lot of bouncing around over who to keep, the Crossovers finally decided on Ashley. (It took long enough!) They had already been talking about it but there was a really weird moment yesterday. Ashley joined Angela, Barrett and Dee for a chat and Drew also joined them. While Angela chatted up Ashley, the other three whispered about who they should keep…right in front of Ashley.

I don’t know how she didn’t hear them but she didn’t act like she did. Someone should tell Dee not to have a live tribal council on BB.

The problem was the Crossovers didn’t have the numbers to keep Ashley after making the decision to do it. Dee, with an assist from Angela, got Kamu to realize that Yash is a number for Rome, not for him. Now, they have the Red Corner wanting to keep Ashley too. Dee explained how Ashley’s just looking for a group to join and will be loyal to whoever keeps her in the house. She also told Kamu that Ashley isn’t nearly as close to Mallory, Melody and Lyric as people think. I don’t know if she is or not but I still think this is the right move for the Crossovers.

Sure, there’s the risk Ashley joins the Rome group because of the other ladies but it’s obvious Taylor is already with that group. Taylor likes Angela and Dee but Lala doesn’t and wants to target the vets and Taylor is very much with Lala. Yash is definitely going after the vets so Ashley is their best bet to keep imo. It seems like the Red Corner and the Crossovers are kind of joining up temporarily to keep Ashley.

Dre and Devens had a moment for her to tell him she convinced Kamu it was his idea to keep Ashley instead of theirs. (True) They also laughed and said they couldn’t believe they somehow were sitting in the middle of the house at the moment.

The only thing that can make it better would be if they could somehow manipulate a split vote. If the entire house saves Ashley, she may not be as loyal to them. However, I’d expect them to blow a lot of smoke up her ass today to make sure Ashley knows they are the reason she’s staying.

Of course, this may change 10 times today but thats where we’re at for now. Until it changes, it’s looking like Yash will leave unless he wins the Blockbuster. Ashley may stay over both Taylor or Yash. Have a great Waffle Wednesday!
Mel
