Julie Chen Rumored To Be Back! Will Big Brother Return?

I posted yesterday about Julie Chen being out at The Talk, but it appears she isn’t quite ready to give up her position as the Queen of Big Brother just yet.
TMZ is reporting that CBS sources have told them Julie is definitely welcome to return to the show if she wants, and sources close to Julie have said yes! Awwww, the marriage continues.
Hopefully
Keep in mind the biggest story of this issue is not who will be hosting but IF there is a show to host. The show is usually picked up for another season or two by this point, so it’s certainly alarming not to hear anything, but as I said yesterday I really believe that had to do with Julie. She may have something in her contract to prevent a renewal without her or they may have just been waiting until she’s officially ‘out’ to announce anything. I mean it would certainly be pretty awkward for them to announce a new season but not sign Julie on as a host then run her out there to finish out her contract.
However, with the news of their relationship allegedly remaining together, this should open the door for CBS to hopefully announce a new season soon. There is nothing holding them back at this point other than inking her to a deal first. I’m cautiously optimistic at this point because the network would be foolish to shut down the show considering the incredibly loyal fanbase along with solid ratings.
Side note – As the season is ending, I need some ideas for blogs to start while I wait for a new BB season. I tossed around the idea of Teen Mom again – although I’d have to start watching it again which is easy because they were just so fun to snark on. I’d do Survivor and other similar shows but there really isn’t anything to talk about 6 days a week so I need something to fill the space. With a show like Teen Mom, they’re always doing something (like getting arrested) so there is always something to write about.
I could do a general entertainment blog discussing movies and TV. I’m not sure how well the generic blogs do because I know people like to focus on one specific issue. Thoughts, ideas?
