Big Brother 28 – Countdown – 11 Days!
I realized that I was posting these only to FB, but the more I ramble, the more I realize they’re probably better as blog posts. Really stupid considering I really need practice on this new site as I rebuilt it from the ground up this winter and will likely be tweaking heavily the next few days.
If you’ve been following for some time, you’d know I’m a sports guy. I mention this because in sports, drafts are a huge part of building teams. In the NFL, especially, teams really live and die by good drafts. Getting a few regular players per draft and a star or two is considered amazing.
Whoever was in charge of final casting decisions during BB10-12 absolutely nailed it. We’re talking Hall of Fame stretch of picks that shaped the entire future of the show.

I just go down memory lane and have been blown away at this stretch of casting of legends that will probably never be replicated. Yea, we’ve definitely had fantastic people join the show after that period, but 3 seasons in a row with so many memorable players is wild.
And if you want to get technical, BB9 was a winter season so really they had 4 straight summers of amazing casting when you add in BB8’s Dick, Danielle, and Jen. But, we still have a few more days before we’re talking about BB8.
In other news, rumors are heavily leaning toward the former houseguests having complimentary roles this season, but that makes sense. With 27 seasons, they’ll likely go through each season and take one comp and bring back one player to host or play in it.
They would almost certainly have to have a third comp for many of the weeks because 27 would run too long. My guess is – and mark it to your memory, everyone – they honor 1 season per comp until they reach the 1000th episode which is an eviction night. That will likely result in everyone who returned to have some factor in that HoH that night.
Mark it. Episode 1000 will be the finish of this episode tour. I almost guarantee it!
