Breaking News: Danielle Reveals Her ‘Major’ Secret to Britney

It was just a week ago that most of the Big Brother 14 fans were feeling bad for Danielle, worrying about how Shane was playing with her mind and how he’s coming off as a huge jerk.  Now, it appears the love for her is quickly fading as she continues to try and make a bigger deal about herself than what she actually is.   Tonight on the live feeds (and possibly Showtime AD), Danielle is chatting with Britney in the HoH room when she finally confesses about being a nurse opposed to a teacher.   The conversation is incredible and it’s worth a flashback to 9:00pm or so. Between fishing for compliments about potentially being America’s Favorite this year (she won’t be), Danielle chats it up with Britney about why she lied about that.  Britney is pretty confused how someone would make up a lie about something as little as her career as a nurse.  I guess Danielle feels she was going to be perceived as a rich super genius because she is a 23 year old who went to nursing school (sorry – “medical school”).   Britney’s reply was roughly “Why didn’t you just say you were a nurse, it’s not like you’re a heart surgeon”.

Apparently nurse was too vague, because there are some well paying nursing jobs out there, but most people generally don’t see a 23 year old nurse and think she’s making 6 figures a year… unless they live in Danielle-land.  In fact, doing a little research, it seems typical nurse jobs pay between 17-25/hour.  While that’s a solid pay, it’s not like teachers are in the poor house.  According to this site, the average salary for a teacher in Alabama is $40k a year, which is roughly around what nurses make.

In addition, if she’s worried about being smart, she does realize that you need education to become a teacher, right?  My guess is she picked Kindergarten teacher because she feels that’s the bottom of the teaching barrel, but why not just say she’s a nurses aid?  At least she’d be in the same field and not seem like a big liar over nothing.

Through the rest of the conversation, Britney was questioning her on other things including her pageantry, etc.  By telling a silly lie like that and then acting like it was the biggest deal in the world, it’s a perfect way to lose trust from your alliance.   I can see Britney running to Boogie or Dan and cracking up over her lying about that, but because of it, they’re now going to keep wondering if she’s hiding other stuff.   When she noticed Ian in the house, two former winners, a trophy wife (Janelle), a son of wealthy parents (Wil), and a playboy model, it was time to drop the act.  That should have been laughed off on day 2 and forgotten about…. but a month in, and having long conversations with Shane about her job simply makes her look like a liar.
