Big Brother All-Stars Is Officially Starting!

Quick note – I know people are having issues logging in.  I switched servers last night and will be messing around all day today to try and fix this issue. It should be good to go once the season begins

I posted a few days ago to expect promos to begin this week, and here we are! I woke up today with a tweet from CBS that Big Brother had an official start date of August 5th!

What this means is that the first episode may actually be a bit weird compared to what we’re used to. That is because players entered sequester yesterday and need two weeks before entering the house. On typical seasons, they enter the house and film for a week before airing the first episode, but the timeline doesn’t match this year. That means the first episode could be similar to Big Brother: Over the Top where we watch them all enter the house live.

In a way, that really makes sense. Most of the first two episodes are typically clips introducing the houseguests and showing them all meet each other, drink champagne, and plan alliances that are doomed to fail. With an All-Star cast, there really isn’t a need for most of that. They all know each other, or at least know of each other, so you can expect things to begin pretty quickly.

The cast list is still yet to be confirmed, but I released a list yesterday. I see a lot of complaining on twitter (shocker, right?), but I think this is actually a fantastic cast even without COVID.  If this cast list is right, you have:

  • Five former winners
  • Paul with both people he finished second to
  • Tyler! I know many don’t like him, but the guy is awesome
  • Da’Vonne! Another fantastic person.  She was one of the first to notice the twin twist
  • Josh’s ego against actual real players.  Let’s not forget, he won one of the worst seasons in BB history. Let’s see how far the pots and pans get him with this cast.

While everyone would have liked a Derrick vs Dan, I think this is one of the next best things.  Once the cast list is released, I’ll probably make a list of people who were shunned, but I’m not going to waste time until I know this is set.

Big news!  So excited!  Big Brother returns!
